We have been with ThunderTix for over a decade and we wouldn't think of even considering going anywhere else. From the beginning ThunderTix always gave us the best return on investment. The system is so easy to use from both the managing side as well as from the consumer side. Their customer service is "top notch"! In the unlikely event you encounter issues with the system, they are extremely quick to respond to emails and calls. Our theatre would highly recommend their service to anyone.

I had thundertix do event seating for my nutcracker ballet . You seriously can not talk to anyone if you have a problem . I had to take it off my website because so many people called me having trouble actually completing purchases . I asked thundertix to look into it and they kept saying that things were working out just fine . I have actual emails , voicemails and video footage of how it really didn't work . They also would not give me a refund for the time I actually couldn't use it . I would be happy to show anyone this .

Thank you for your review. We pride ourselves on our customer support, and I am sorry that you felt this was not the case. We offer support by email for our first two tiers (included with your plan), while other tiers additionally include phone support, which we extended to you gratis.
I was relieved to see that you virtually sold out all of your Nutcracker performances, although an upgrade to our reserved seating created some challenges selling a handful of seats for a short period of time.
We would appreciate the opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to you, whether it be through the credit we offered previously, or through another course of action. I would happily continue personal telephone support. Let us know how we can help!

ThunderTix has been very easy to use and I really enjoy the reports you can pull out of there too. It keeps a lot of data for you and you can look at your customer base and see how many people have been coming to your shows, etc. We have been using it for about two years now and I really enjoy the way the database works. It helps make my life a lot easier.
Vorteile
ThunderTix has A LOT of flexibility about what you do or do not want to post on their site. It's very customizable depending on what your needs are. You can send pre-concert or post-concert emails as well as surveys.
Nachteile
Took me a little bit to learn how to use the menus.

Incredible. I had explored a few different sites and this one was the easiest to set up, with consistent, kind and useful instructions from the support team with any questions or needs I had. I would strongly recommend to anyone new to ticketing platforms, or to those who want a support team that follows through and cares about your outcomes. I will be continuing to use Thundertix for my client.
Vorteile
The ease of the platform to set up events, have multiple types of tickets, create a donation campaign, collect various reports. Most of all, I found their customer service to be one of the best I have ever encountered. They are kind, knowledgeable, patient, clearly communicate and helped me every step of the way in a stressful time to get the ticketing functions up and running for a client of mine. I adore their skill and incredible support!
Nachteile
While the report options are comprehensive, it is a bit confusing to know what reports will produce what data, and so while I am new to the site, I still have to hunt to figure out which ones I need and how to best display the needed information for tickets, and donations. But i'm learning!

Really positive. I have tried similar services and this platform is a lot more comprehensive, customizable, and helpful for both user and customers.
Vorteile
The ease with which I can setup and manage multiple events. For the most part, any feature I want is customizable which is incredibly helpful for our small organization.
Nachteile
I would like to see the "required verification" to be more customizable. I use this as a liability waiver for our events and sometimes I need the language to be different for one event than the others. To my knowledge, this section located in "checkout options" has limited customizability.

Overall, working with ThunderTix was super easy, and I'm definitely planning on using it for future events. My Off-Broadway play, Witchland, ran for a few weeks, and I was able to manage the entire ticketing sales and process, and allocation, seamlessly.
Vorteile
ThunderTix made the daunting task of managing tickets for my stage production super easy. They helped me set up the site, and once up and running it was very easy to manage and navigate.
Nachteile
No real cons with the system - there is a small learning curve initially, then it's smooth sailing.

Overall our experience with Thunder Tix has been very positive and I would recommend it to any business wanting flexible scheduling and ticketing.
Vorteile
When looking for a ticketing program for our small non-profit performing arts company we needed one that was uncomplicated to set up, user friendly for our patrons and affordable for our non-profit to use. One great feature since we only set up 2-3 events per year is that we can toggle between maintenance and reserved seating when not is use for a really reasonable monthly fee. Their customer service is excellent and very responsive and patient for every question I have had for them. The reports are also very comprehensive during and at the end of an event.
Nachteile
You are restricted to just a couple credit card processors.

Customer support is AMAZING!!! I love being able to see a list of all attendees in real-time, including when their barcode has been scanned. Patron database is top-notch and helpful, ordering tickets online is simple and easy for patrons.
Nachteile
There was a slight learning curve, but support is more than helpful and has guided me through every step of the way! The only thing I disliked was not being able to customize the seating chart in as much detail as I would like, but that was a minor issue for us.

I remember telling someone that my golf drive didn't go very far, but it was always straight down the middle. When we played together for the first time, I shanked it, and she yelled, "NOT as advertised!"

ThunderTix is critical to our venue. Selling seats that our customers get to choose ahead of time is vital. Guests don’t want to drive a long way and not have a seat that works for them. The customer support is superior.
Vorteile
We have music shows each Saturday from October through April and without ThunderTix we wouldn’t be able to do presale of seats. It is easy to use and any time I can’t figure something out or have an issue the support is fast, friendly, and easy to access. I wouldn’t change companies because I don’t think you can get better support anywhere else.
Nachteile
The software is easy to use. I would like to be able to sell product a little easier and set up a menu for our food sales -but as ticketing software it is top notch.

Vorteile
Another pretty hilarious tool I used for event management. The software matched our requirements, easy to use, intuitive controls, nice design. Service team is perfect, support according to individual packages, which I like. Integration was without any problems. Price is average/medium. Price/performance ratio.
Nachteile
I recommend using PDF files more than excel files, which are more difficult to navigate. I recommend SW.

Gosh, I like that word when it comes to describing our customer service team! It sounds like we've managed to check a lot of boxes for you.
I like PDF files, too, as they are easier on the eyes. But especially for those finance folks, nothing beats the capabilities of an Excel file when you need to crunch numbers or tie together two data sets.

Much more effective Reporting, ability to create own custom reports. REALLY appreciated being put on Maintenance Mode during pandemic. We get no assistance, and rely completely on seat sales. This allowed us to keep alive.
Vorteile
Setup and use is fairly intuitive, still need to refer to manual. Help upgraded, now most useful. Small changes to existing business processes, enabled streamlining and much more flexibility. Reporting much faster and more effective. Responsive to customer requests. VERY effective pivot to cope with Covid reality - thank you!
Nachteile
There are a few quirks, like the combination of Public Tickets in a Private event. And others. Read the manual, search the Help. You are most responsive to customer requests, so any issues are quickly and satisfactorily resolved.

I appreciate your feedback, Glynnis, especially with our response to Covid. Interestingly, some of those features we built to meet that challenge will stick around like timed seating and bulk refunds to a gift card, because our clients love them. (On the other hand, I hope that automated social distancing won't be necessary in the very near future!)
When I read "public tickets for private events", even I was taken aback! I then realized that for some of our clients, they want to set up an entire event but hide it from view by making the event private. So, the concept is definitely confusing but appreciated by those who use it.
I'm thrilled to hear you love our pricing. Most of our clients love that they can completely defray the cost of ticketing with a very small fee of under $1 which positively cannot be beat.

Vorteile
We love working with ThunderTix. ThunderTix has an amazing support system in place. It is like having another team member in the office that you can go to and say 'this isn't working for me, can you do something about it?' And they say Yes - And then they do it!! This past Friday I contacted ThunderTix Support with a feature request and they had it sorted out by the time I got back to the office on Monday. Their team truly listens to what their users want. It is as though we are building the software together. You can tell the people behind the program truly care about it and about our business. ThunderTix is not just a software program - it is a community.
ThunderTix is constantly adding features (requested and voted on by their users) to give more value to the product. I love opening up the program and learning about the features and tweaks other users want to see and then to watch as ThunderTix takes actions on making those changes and updates.
Specific features of the software we like include: selling gift certificates online, integration with our website and with others like mailchimp, donation options on checkout, coupons, and automatic emailing.
ThunderTix was very easy to learn and also very easy for me to then train others on. And whenever I get lost I know that their Support will respond to my emails within minutes. Literally minutes. That's what I like best about ThunderTix: knowing that they have my back.
Nachteile
If I had to pick something - converting my monthly invoices from USD to CAD but really that's not an issue.

We changed to ThunderTix in 2013 from another well-known ticketing service. The transition was very smooth and made our internal operations much easier. Reports are excellent for tracking sales and bookkeeping.
Vorteile
ThunderTix integrates well with our website and makes the ticket buying experience very easy for our patrons. Ticket map shows our semi-thrust venue to our patrons. They offer many options to customize the program for your use.
Nachteile
We have no negative comments. ThunderTix is always ahead of the curve in terms of adding improvements. The feature request board is very helpful.

We were looking for a flexible ticketing solution for our First Big Off-Broadway show, and Telecharge, Ticketmaster, Criterion, VenueTix, AudienceView and others WOULDN'T work with us for we were unknown at this level or they wanted a 3 year contract. I contacted ThunderTix and they were amazing. One of the employees called me from her car to respond to my questions. Awesome. The Customer Service here is like no other company I have worked with in years. Fast, informative and KIND, so incredibly wonderful. Any problem I had with not understanding elements of the software, they would get back quickly and teach me what I was not understanding. FANTASTIC. We had NO TECH glitches with the software, ticketing was amazing, the Seat Map they made was perfect, it all work unbelievably well, I cannot thank them enough for supporting us with such professionalism and kindness. Work with ThunderTix. Don't pay the big bucks for poor support and an attitude. The ThunderTix software and support team are exceptional.
Nachteile
Fonts could be a bit bigger and some menus could be easier to find, but other than that, all good. It worked without a glitch.

Ken, my mother taught me to treat others as I'd want to be treated. So, I took her advice and decided that we had to earn our clients business every day. If we don't demonstrate our commitment, then why should they be forced to stay? I'm glad we earned your trust!

It's a great service, and while pricing has gone up since we first started with Thundertix we still believe it is one of the best values for a full service ticketing solution
Vorteile
The fact that we can set up all of our shows and sell tickets easily both online and in person (point of service) makes it a great service. The software and show setup each year is just so easy to do. It takes very little time to get our new season set up to sell through Thundertix.
Nachteile
I really wish they had a way where we could sell our subscription packages online where our returning patrons could keep their same seats season after season without us having to place them all back into the seating charts manually, before ticket sales open up to the general public.

Their tech support is second to NONE. Any time I've sent tech support requests, their response has been measured in minutes (not hours or days). Their responses have been friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Any downsides that we've had with the system has been addressed in service updates. Well Done!!!
Vorteile
Thundertix seems to check all the boxes when it comes to running tickets for a small community musical theatre playhouse. We don't utilize all the features (like concession/merch sales, assigned seating or gift cards) but the features we DO use has made our lives so much easier. Especially when it comes to customer confidence when emergency needs arise (exchanges, refunds, or bulk refunds).
Nachteile
I don't know that we've come up with any scenarios that haven't been addressed by the Thundertix team (for our needs)

When we selected ThunderTix they were the only online ticket service that we could find that did...
When we selected ThunderTix they were the only online ticket service that we could find that did not charge a 'per ticket service fee' to our customers. That model was vital to our selection as we do not believe online ticketing should be cost a premium over walk-ups.
We knew that ticket fees never come down at other online ticketing providers, with some now charging over 50% of the ticket face value as an additional fee (ex. $15/ticket + $8.15 service fee).
ThunderTix remains an ever-improving system that we continue to believe is the right model for online ticketing. Our patrons want the cost of ticketing to be part of our theatre operation cost.
We would love to see the company add CRM and e-mail marketing modules to the back-end to allow management of more than just our ticketing. Patron/donor/volunteer mgmt tools would be a plus for this product in the future to compete with other new CRM/ticketing solutions that are still adopting the per-ticket-service-fee model.

A lot has changed since 2011 -- In February 2014, ThunderTix rolled out a full CRM for patron management. It includes complete patron purchase history, donations management, robust filtering to report on multiple levels of customer data. All error messages that a patron might see during the purchase process have been modified, all order data saved on a declined transaction, and all fields with problems highlighted in red to make it very clear to the ticket buyer what needs to be completed and/or corrected. We moved over to the cloud in April of 2012 and since then have more than quadrupled speeds for page load time. ThunderTix is now in the 97th percentile of web-based software applications in terms of speed. This week, ThunderTix is going to be rolling out a direct email marketing tool that connects with MailChimp. Mailing lists are automatically updated with new subscribers direct from ThunderTix and emails to various lists can be directly emailed from within the ThunderTix login.
