Jackrabbit Dance Erfahrungen

What I like most about this software is the customer service. This is a robust and complex system that has evolved spectacularly over the 10+ years that I have used it. There are many features that can be confusing at first. But the customer service team is always ready to help and in a way that makes it easy to understand and replicate on my own later.

One thing that is missing is a retail feature for online sales. They have implemented a retail feature that can be done in person. But I would love to be able to sell our uniforms on our website through Jackrabbit. I would also love to see the email/communications features made more robust. It would be nice to know who is opening our emails and who is not.

I never knew my job could get so easy so quickly. Since using jackrabbit and realizing that everything can be stored in one place and when one piece of information changes due to an edit, the site changes it everywhere throughout, is incredibly helpful! I absolutely love how prompt and easy it is to get a hold of someone if I need help with a feature, honestly so amazing. Everything looks organized and is easy to access and I couldn’t be more thankful! I love Jack rabbit!

there are a few limitations within it that I have suggested and have been told might change in the future which is pretty cool! Mostly it does everything I want it to!

The product is fairly easy to use and provides a data base for our company. I am sure there are features that I have not used or do not use properly. I would like to understand billing more.

Sometimes hard to find the right reports. Would like to see some additional reports. ie - based on how we bill, ability to see who has not paid.Attendance - would like to see class attendance for a certain time period.

It’s complex in what it offers and easy to use.

It’s a bit difficult to learn how to use some features

I love that this product is very easy to use, both for our parents and our staff. It allows me as the owner to see what is going on, track important data and make decisions based on numbers rather than gut feel.

I have a few frustrations with the system. 1- Online store, I don't understand why this hasn't been created yet. An online store in the portal where we can post images of merchandise have the Store module manage inventory and have the cost of the items added to someone's account. 2- Shopping cart, I would love to see some sort of notification or email sent to parents when they have items remaining in their shopping cart. We have lost clients due to classes getting full because they never checked out. We also had people show up for events that we didn't know about because they also never fully checked out. 3- Excel exports- I love excel and the capability of pulling information and then manipulating it to fit what I need. The frustration I have is that the report pulls with many blank lines, so it becomes impossible to filter and pivot the information without removing thousands of blank lines and page tops/bottoms.

One centralized location to manage most aspects of the business, whether at the office or at home. This product makes owning and managing a dance studio much easier. It is also a great service for our patrons.

There are a lot of possibilities and you have to be careful to check everything. It can sometimes be a bit persnickety and for people who are not computer savvy, it is not always intuitive.

I really appreciate that JackRabbit takes the time to have consistent and updated features. I love that you can submit suggestions to make the software better and that the JackRabbit team pulls from that input to make updates. The reporting is something that makes a world of difference for us. We can use the information from reporting for so many different things. This is also the best software for large families with multiple students. My other experience is with MindBody and the family accounts are near impossible and a big hassle.

I think there are still some things Jackrabbit could improve on but they are small improvements and not major changes. I would love the emailing system to be more detailed and allow for more differentiation. It is a pretty basic HTML email system right now. We have started creating documents in Canva and then inserting as an image just to make the aesthetic better. This is now causing a problem because that means the email is tagged as spam. I would also love to see the Recital editor updated a little more. For example, I want to send an email from a recital or I want to be able to add an intermission without it being counted as a number.

Everything I need in one software program, many partnering business that integrate software programs!

I’m waiting on an update for the store that will allow for one item to be entered with a sub option of multiple sizes. Square does this.

Their customer support is world class. No kidding!!

Credit card charges- this is a huge tax on small businesses- not really a JR deal but it prevented me from using it sooner.

It’s easy to use and set up is a breeze.

It’s a bit expensive and you can’t archive students only families so if you have 5 registered in a family but only one is active, you’re potentially paying for the non active registrants.

Jackrabbit Dance manages each family's individual account, automatically bills my clients and processes payments, informs my teachers of new students starting their class, keeps track of skills that students have passed off, and keeps track of attendance. Each of these things allows me to focus my time on other things my students, teachers, and clients need.

I wish functionality was a bit higher in the skills area. I had to use some "workarounds" in order to do what I was planning with it, but my expectations may have been a bit high there. I also wish that I could upload larger files as it limits the type of content I can add in our "resources."

We like the customizable reports and the interface is user-friendly. Seamless transition from the lack of a database to something more organized.

Recital reports and portal do not work together with student profiles when you search their name. We have to use Microsoft Access to manage a database to hold all of our information for our performances.

It easy to work with and when their are questions about the system the help desk really help you understand.

I don’t like that you can only have one registration fee. We have different dance programs at our school which makes it hard to price correctly.

Love their customer service! No matter what I need, someone is there in chat or there’s a link to a tutorial or there’s a FB page … I’m always covered!

Jackrabbit is a consistent way to keep track of billing and payments. Parents seem very pleased with ease of use.

I wish it was more flexible with its billing cycles. We don't bill monthly so it's a bit tricky but manageable.

I love how easy it is to find information in Jackrabbit! We run lots of reports on what classes are filled, what isn’t making, etc. and it is always easy to filter and not be overwhelmed by the information we don’t need.

The parent portal and app is a pain. Parents who want to enroll in several things have to do them all individually, the app creator isn’t always responsive or easy to work with, the app it’s self is slow a lot of the times, and it can be hard to get to where you want to go. Love the idea of it, but I get lots of complaints on the parents end about it.

Online registration, online payments and invoicing, the POS system, the extensive reports available to run, and the revenue chart comparisons. I have to say these are my favorite features. They made running my studio so easy. I was able to see at a glance everything that was happening internally, from the financial aspect to how my classes were being filled and who was behind or ahead on tuition.

Perhaps this is just me, but I feel the layout of Jackrabbit's many different features could be improved somewhat. The font (a little on the small size) and drop-downs- especially when there are many drop downs and options to choose from, such as when customizing a report- can be confusing and cause a bit of a headache. I think that some slight design changes to their appearance will be a little easier on the eyes. I understand Jackrabbit is very functional in appearance, which is fine, no need for a whole aesthetic overhaul, but sometimes the layout is a little confusing.I also found that most of my dance parents (and me too for the first year of using Jackrabbit) got confused by their statements. Perhaps a change in the statement format to more clearly differentiate what was and paid, what they owe.

The integration seemed to go smoothly. The company has worked with us to tailor a few things to our needs.

I’m still learning after all the years… i definitely don’t use all the features.

Jackrabbit offered a representative as a guide to help us transition into this product which enabled a spurt of growth that we would not have enjoyed so easily. I am also impressed with the reports and options that the system offers.

Learning to navigate and understand all the functions has been a task but I am still learning a new function regularly.
