This software makes it easy to upload your resume and apply for jobs. It even offers to match you with jobs you qualify for. The sort and filter features are general, so any applicant has to wade through a ton of listings to find a match, and often the listings are duplicated, meaning you see the same ones on page after page, with new listings mixed in.

Because it's so easy to submit applications, employers are inundated with a ton of resumes. That doesn't bother me, but it makes it harder for them to respond to applicants, and creates a situation where it feels like the employer just doesn't care. I literally submitted over one hundred applications for jobs I'm qualified to do, and got one response. One. And that wasn't even an interview, that was just an email response that said thanks for applying.

As a former training specialist most of the new hires said they found the job on Indeed. This is very common as it has quickly become one of the most well known sites to find a job thanks to their fanbase and search criteria to really find something you're qualified for. You can search by education level for desired salary with more criteria being added all the time.

With the gig economy growing, it needs to be easier to find "remote" or "work from home jobs" but I feel like steps are being taken to improve this.

This software has become the norm for most people in the vast majority of professional and technical fields, but also has branched out to the retail and service sectors. The ease of use for the person seeking employment and the ability of hiring personnel to navigate to those people who fit criteria for their openings is second to none. Indeed allows people who are unfamiliar with constructing a resume to create a basic format and also allows those with existing CV/resumes to upload them along with cover letters. Once uploaded, they can quickly be altered as time changes the information. Many companies allow a direct application via that uploaded information and the remaining companies direct the potential job candidate to the application on the website for the corporation. Indeed also allows individuals who are talent acquisition specialists to send messages to people who are on indeed to determine if a possible interest in a position might be possible.

Talent acquisition individuals can sometimes not recognize that they have already been directed to an individual and repeat an invitation to apply for a specific position. The only other issue I have found is that people without a resume who use the Indeed builder do not always recognize the need to update their information because they are not prompted.

I love the ease of use of indeed, it's never been difficult for me to navigate throughout the app or the website. I've never had to question what employers I have already applied to and which ones meet my specific qualifications. I especially love the little markers for each job application that say whether it is filling up quickly or if there is a lot of applicants who are applying, there's just a lot of information that's given and it really makes it easy to never doubt what is right in front of me!

To be honest I don't think I've ever had any problems with indeed. I have used it for years and I have always used it to keep my resume and it has since been very easy to update and keep track of places that I have applied to, places I've worked at, how long I've worked somewhere and the messaging feature is sort of new but that is also a nice touch that they added so that instead of having an email back and forth you are able to converse right in the app!

Furthermore, Indeed allows users to upload and manage their resumes, making it easy for potential employers to view and contact them. Users can also set up alerts for new job listings that match their criteria, ensuring they don't miss any relevant opportunities. Additionally, the Indeed app allows users to access job listings and manage their job search on the go.

One of the least liked aspects of the Indeed job search portal is the sheer number of tests employers often require potential candidates to take after they apply for a job. Additionally, there can be a lot of spam and outdated job postings, making it difficult to find relevant opportunities.

Indeed's website functionality is one of my favorite aspects that this software has to offer. Everything you need to apply to the job(s) of your choosing is just one click away. I also love how recruiters can find you without you doing any of the leg work. I actually got one of my favorite jobs this way and all I had to do was have an updated resume on my account. The criteria you have to fill out to find what you are looking for is as easy as 1-2-3.

One of my biggest dislikes about Indeed is sometimes you have to be very specific with your keywords or the website will pretty much show you every job within a 25 mile radius that has absolutely nothing to do with the choice of keywords you have supplies. For example if you type in "school secretary" Indeed will still show results that are similar such as "Dental office secretary" but not even in the ballpark of what you are looking for. Even if there is only one "school secretary" position located in my zip code and radius preference, I prefer that over continuously scrolling through secretary positions and never coming across what I am actually looking for.

I love how they implemented a new way of adding to your resume. I love how I can pick all of the skills I have to add to my experience with the click of a button. I don't have to use specific words when searching for jobs. I love how they have job fairs, hiring events, apply today start tomorrow job postings. Some employers like staffing agencies even leave a direct number to contact them which I also love and it tells me the employers response rate to applicants and how many people applied to the position which is a first for a job search engine. Huge plus! I love that it tells me if the job is seasonal/temp or full/part time. I love how they send off my completed tests from the companies that recommend a test after application submission.

The resume builder is a hassle at first but understandable why it's extensive. I don't like how they have way too many listings for minimum wage and it sometimes shows me job listings in other areas/states that are nowhere near me and some job postings are scams. I think their job postings that have no ratings should be vetted on legitimacy a bit more as well just to lessen the risk of getting scammed. I hate taking the tests after submitting an application

Indeed is possible the go-to site for both job seekers and employers, and seems to have the widest array of jobs available out of all of the major job sites.

What I like about Indeed is its extremely simple user interface and colour scheme. There is no confusion in what you are doing on the site (either as a candidate or employer) as everything is laid out so simply and intuitively. In terms of simple user interfaces, it has to be one of the best and easiest to use. No extras, no unnecessary additions, just a simple UI that anybody should be able to use the minute they visit the site.

In terms of employers, I also like that Indeed offers you screening questions to add to your job posting. You can add questions very quickly to your job ad outlining any additional requirements or optional information from candidates, which can be set up very easily and will vastly help screen candidates.

What I don't like about Indeed is its weak applicant tracking. With other solutions, far more in-depth applicant tracking and candidate management is offered, whereas Indeed doesn't particularly offer this. While it excels in terms of job posting and job applications, the middle communication needed between employers and candidates needs improvement, and Indeed doesn't particularly give you the tools you need to do this. While it does offer a simple messaging system between employer and candidate, it is barebones and suffers by comparison.

Communication for candidates as well is lacking on Indeed. While it does confirm job applications and rejections by email, it does not offer the ability to give candidates updates on whether their application was viewed, where they are at in the interview stages and any potential offers/negotiations - Indeed does not provide this. Although recently, they have taken steps to improve communication during the application stage - this includes number of other candidates, whether the job is urgently required and whether there are multiple jobs available on the same posting.

Indeed is a such a wonderful way to search for your next employment adventure. Whether your looking for just a job or a career you can find it with Indeed. With their east to use search option you only have to view positions suited to you and your experience and preferences. If your not so good at making a resume then no need to worry when your using Indeed because there is a way to make one with ease. There is even an option for a professional to help you write the perfect one.
Indeed assessments are a great way to show off your skills to portiential employers. This is great for you to have a better idea of where you are on certain skills and also to make you a better candidate. You can take any available assessments at your own will and some are required by the employer when you apply for a position. If you don't do so well on one that you decided to take on your own you don't have to post it and it can be hidden for your viewing only.

The one thing that I find to be the most inconvenient about Indeed is that you are not able to retake an assessment. I understand that it is most likely this way to avoid potential cheating and dishonesty but it is not fair for those who sometimes just don't test well. This also doesn't allow for someone to progress and get better. Someone may not at the time have much experience with something but could of taken a course or an internship to learn new job skills. When they took the assessment 6 months ago they didn't know as much as they do now but are not able to show off their new hard earned skills because they are not able to retest.
You have to be careful not to fall for any of the scam job postings.
