Great Product, Excited for Future Updates

This product helped us create a customer friendly, web based rental platform.

Vorteile

This program is easy to set-up. I'm guessing that training my staff will be very simple also. The ability to have different pricing structure is great, tags make it simple to search for products, and customer tags will allow us to assign discounts and track when those discounts expire. Overall this product fits nearly all of our needs.

The service from the Booqable team has been amazing. The team is open to hearing our needs, and made it clear that they have additional features in the works!

The price of Booqable is great. It does a lot, but doesn't cost a lot.

Nachteile

Things that could be improved:
Additional payment gateways. We prefer Authorize.net... when working at an institution, it's a pain to get additional payment gateways approved.

Adding packages. Many rental places use packages to provide deals... this feature will hopefully be coming soon.

A way for customers to self identify they type of customer they are would be nice. We provide pricing based on a customers classification. We are working to educate our customers of the pricing... this has to be done on our rental home screen.

One more improvement would be a store with some customization. I plan to host our rentals on a separate page, however, it would be nice to direct them to the Booqable store instead.

Takes all the chaos out of running a small business.

Fantastic experience with this software. Sure there are things I would like to see added, but they are making progress and coming out with new standard features all the time. My business wouldn't run without it.

Vorteile

Booqable is easy to learn and organized our party rentals flawlessly. It allows us to see exactly what orders are coming up, what has or has not been paid, and store credit cards to make checkout easier for guests.

Nachteile

Needs more features added that would tremendously add value. Features like...how much sales tax have I collected on orders this year? The ability to add a non-refundable Damage Waiver to all orders (not just a damage deposit like they do now). The ability to look up a customer based off a phone number would also be fantastic. The ability to send the contract via email for an e-signature would also be an absolute game changer and a feature needed badly. Overall, need more ability to see YTD information that is much easier and customizable than currently offered. The mobile apps, especially the Android app need a ton of work.

Simple-easy to use rental software

We have only been using the software for a short period now so haven't been able to explore and use all of its features, but it does fulfill most of our business needs for a booking system.

Vorteile

It's a very user-friendly software, pretty simple to use on a day-to-day basis for "basic" users. Inputting rental orders, and keeping track of the products and what has been picked up or returned is developed in a really clear way.

Nachteile

A feature that would be useful for our busines would be if it had or at least it could be integrated with a POS system for in-store customers so we wouldn't need to take their cards and input their details, and could link it to a card reader instead.

Saved my sanity during my first year in business

This has drastically simplified my life as my inventory grew in my first year of business. I would not have been able to stay organized without this software!

Vorteile

The inventory management is the most critical component in my mind. While managing multiple rental products, I would have been unable to track each order easily, and manage knowing availability for each item based on what each client was interested in, given that this is a side business and was sometimes managing up to 10 clients per week during the summer. The orders are easy to create, the views and the sorting making it easy to find upcoming jobs to stay prepared for what’s to come, and I could confidently tell new clients what was available on their desired date!

Nachteile

There are a few bugs in the software that resolve themselves when the page is refreshed. Not inhibiting my ability to accomplish desired tasks

Overall great software - could use a few upgrades

I've used Booqable for about 2 years now. It's been great for my business. Although some features are lacking (Sales Tax, Quickbooks, E-signatures), I've been able to make do by using their API.

Vorteile

Interface is easy. API exists. Booking widget to add to existing website.

Nachteile

Sales tax is not automatically calculated. Does not integrate with Quickbooks. No document e-signing feature. Limited customization for checkout.

Fabulous Rental Software

It's been wonderful and will continue to use it.

Vorteile

I find it incredibly user friendly. Easy to use and train with when we have seasonal contractors brought in. Love having my inventory and links to the website all connected in real time so when I add new products they auto.atically show up online.

Nachteile

I wish that it either intergtated with my CRM or had the option to create the pretty proposals right from this software so I wouldn't need the other piece. Doesn't have the same workflow options as my CRM.

Booqable for Baie Goeters

Very happy but has some glitches that I am sure will be smoothed out over time. We've been looking for a system like this for YEARS and this has completely change how we manage many aspects of our business.

Vorteile

Love that we cannot double book our stock to weddings & events anymore. Also love that we can easily pull data to follow up with outstanding monies as well as quickly check our calendar to know if we can assist clients with their needs.

Nachteile

Very little to not like, but I would say that when booking a breakage it does not automatically update the stock sheet not does it automatically workout what the breakage amount needs to be when items are not returned.Also the inventory does not export nicely to an CVS sheet in order to do an inventory update.

I tried 4 different software products and Booqable was the best for us.

Vorteile

Compared to others, I found Booqable incredibly simple to set-up, navigate and use. Integrating it onto our website is super simple.

I found with other sites it was overly complicated to set-up inventry, track inventry and take online orders. Booqable made this an absolute breeze.

Nachteile

We have the lowest package as we're a small business and I think the cost difference for some extra features like being able to bull reports is not justifyable, which is a shame as this is the main gripe we have with the software.

There are small things like, being unable to do bundles and discounts based on a specific figure, rather than a percentage. Same goes with booking deposits, this would be much better to be able to charge a set price on each booking, rather than having it based on a percentage.

It would be great to be able to change the reservation status from the dashboard or order page without having to go into the booking and change manually.

Automatic emails and being able to create more automatic emails would be great. EG when a booking status is changed to returned, to be able to set-up a thank-you email that delivers automatically.

The Orders page, I think it would be good to be able to set a default on how the bookings are sorted. EG set the default to have the bookings based on the date of the booking.

The ease of use of Booqable

Vorteile

What I love most about this software.
The ease of use. It is easy to navigate where all the orders and invoices are.
It's all neatly organized by order numbers and invoice numbers.
Setting up a Quote/invoice was never this easy before just punch in your goods and done you can make a quote and or invoice.
If you ever do encounter a issue, The live chat is a great option response time is fast and helpfull.

Nachteile

What did I not like?
When setting up it's a lot of work putting all your goods into the software.
Sometimes there are minor glitches but the Live chat has helped with these glitches.

A-LOT of software for the money!

Best bang for your buck rental software. Easily used by me and my customers, once you're familiar. Significantly reduced my workload and increased the legitimacy of my business.

Vorteile

Booqable is a life-saver. Being a small business that isnt available 24/7, I was missing out on rental orders that came in at times we were not available. Having a free online webstore that allows my customers to book orders 24/7/365 has reduced our work load, and increased our sales. This has put us on the map.

Nachteile

I wish there was a way customers could upload documents - i.e, a picture of their driver's license. Or, a way that they could sign a contract prior to booking an order as opposed to just Accepting the Terms and Conditions.

We love the Booqable online store as the online store allows customers to reserve the items online which cuts down the time spent on the phone taking orders.

The software is easy to use especially the online store, inventory management and invoicing. The online store is easy to set up and integrated easily with the inventory management system within Booqable.

Nachteile

Transferring my Quicken database to the Booqable database is something I find challenging to do.

All in one portal

I really have loved my whole experience, their staff was super friendly and knowledgeable when I originally reached out for a trail of the software, and the software has all the functionality I need to run my business well.

Vorteile

I love that there is a payment request feature, so that I can offer payment by credit card. As well the fact that you can span rentals by days and weeks was a huge factor for me and one of the reasons I decided to go with Booqable. There are honestly so many great features that fit my needs perfectly, it’s hard to choose which ones are the best.

Nachteile

The app is still in beta mode, and is not as comprehensive as the website. As well, inventory sometimes needs to be manually optimized to maximize use.

Simple, powerful rental software with fantastic customer service.

Vorteile

We are a small AV events company that needed a streamlined rental tracking solution. I looked around and did several free trials and Booqable came out on top. The platform is very easy to use, and being cloud-based means we can use it in various locations with ease (we're based on the Gold Coast so we often like to take laptops to the beach to work!)

For us, a huge pro is how easily you can take payments within Booqable. Several other services we trialled required integration with 3rd party accounting software to do this. While most users will probably still use accounting packages come tax time, all the actual payments we take can be processed within Booqable, which for us was a big time saver.

As others have mentioned, the customer service is always speedy and helpful. team is always on hand to guide in the use of the software, or to suggest better workflows. They even wrote a piece of code for me to enable me to perform a simple function I required but which wasn't yet part of the platform.

I'd certainly recommend Booqable to any small to mid-sized rental operations.

Nachteile

There are features I'd love to have, but of course no software caters to everyone's needs, and Booqable is very reasonably priced. So the following aren't really cons, but just our dream additions to an already fantastic platform.

At present there is no packages feature to bundle products together, but this is in the late stages of development so will hopefully be released soon.

I'd also love to see some way of managing labour within the system (such as deliveries or, for us, event technicians) that is reflected in the calendar.

Lastly a companion smartphone app would be amazing (Booqable is designed to work on desktops or tablets). You can certainly login on a smartphone but the site isn't really optimised for that screen size. Again, I believe that such an app may be released as part of a future update.

Very user friendly, great price & great customer service!

I am able to fully customize Booqable to fit our particular needs! It was very simple to learn and use.

Vorteile

I loved that this software offered an instant free trial, I was able to figure most of the software out within 30 min. Any questions along the way are always answered by a representative that explains in full detail. I am not a very technology savvy person and I had no trouble figuring things out. I love this software and couldn't run our equipment rental business without it. Another perk is that you have to choice of renewing month to month. You aren't stuck paying for a full year if you end up not liking it.

Nachteile

I debated using it for a long time because I could not fully figure out the connection with Stripe and how all that worked. The communication with stripe was not good in the beginning (before I had an account). I didn't know if I needed a POS and which one would fit our needs. I bit the bullet and subscribed not knowing a lot of things but the relationship with stripe is a breeze and they are great to help with any questions. I actually ended up buying a different software (before I bought booqable) because of the uncertainty with Stripe, now I'm paying for 2 softwares but only using booqable because it is so much better!

Affordable Solution with Webstore, Barcodes & Very Cool to Use

My experience has been excellent from setting it up, to processing orders & the service team is very responsive.

Vorteile

Online store was a must. There's very few affordable packages that do this so that really narrowed the field which is surprising because it's 2020 not 2005. It's very easy to use, looks modern, is easy to read & works the way you expect. Barcoding is a great feature. The Pro subscription has unlimited products & 5 users which is just right for our company. My warehouse manager loves it too. Support has been excellent & I was able to integrate it with my Wordpress site.

Nachteile

The only minor thing was that I was limited in what fields I could import & can't modify products in bulk but that's only an issue when you first set it up.

The most useful tool in my bussines

I have been a BOOQABLE user since 2017. My business based on antique and decoration rental is managed with more than 10,000 items and permanent movement of them daily. Thanks to the calendar and the stock of products, I can generate the orders with the peace of mind of knowing that I have each of them available when my clients require it.

Overall booqable handles the needs of my business very well. Happy with the features and happy with their support. Glad i swithced over when I did.

Vorteile

Booqable does quite a lot for its price tag. It is pretty customizable which allowed me to tune it towards my business' needs. It does a fantastic job at inventory tracking, order organization, and overall management of my rental business. I'm very happy I switched over to booqable because without it, I wouldn't have been able to keep up with the growth of my business.

Nachteile

Certain aspects of custom pricing rulesets are currently still in their early stages. I've contacted booqable about my needs with that feature since I have some very specific rulesets to implement for my industry. They wrote back saying they've been working on an update for that feature and they're confident it'll solve my case. It's reassuring to know that someone at booqable reads and responds when you write them.

Vorteile

It took a long time to find rental management software and when we found Booqable it wasn't perfect, but the staff was very communicative and listened to our needs. They would very quickly send out new builds with features that we requested, and continued to improve day to day. It wasn't long before everything we needed was there, along with a lot of other features that we didn't even know we needed, and that improved our business. These days, you often see apps come and go, and support emails go unanswered, but with Booqable I feel that they are there to help and improve constantly. So what do I like most about the software? It does everything I need it to, but most importantly, the people behind it are A+.

Game Changing Software

Booqable is a game-changer. The software offers automation in an effective and simplistic way allowing for easy integration, and comprehension. The team at Booqable are thorough, timely and effectual.

Vorteile

Prior to discovering Booqable through Capterra, as a business we used excel. The integration of Booqable was game-changing. Automated reminders, live availability, and online checkout have been immensely beneficial upgrades for our business model.

Nachteile

Improvements can almost always be made to any product, although Booqable is difficult to critique. We are continuously receiving updates, and are prompted to actively engage in feedback as users to aid Booqable in furthering their usability.

Great software!

Had some minor bugs while setting up, but their support helped out nicely!

Vorteile

The overall overview of rental orders + the amount of hours gained by their automated process (no long e-mails to the customer to get info, no checking in Excel-files, automatic invoices etc.)

Nachteile

There's no language option; its interface is only in English.
