I love how easy this software is to use. I am not tech savvy but I have 100% used this software with ease.
the customer support is really easy and always available

I cant really think of anything I don't like.

it was easily customisable when first staring out with the software.

Some commands are difficult with a lot of steps to set up appointments. some of our development needs are not supported.

I like that I can use it anywhere anytime (when I have service). I like the potential of the product.

The software has been in use as a basic booking system for years in the salon before I came on board. I would have liked to be able to have face to face training or be able to attend a course to increase the use across the board.
Once I requested this earlier in my time with the company and I was directed to research it myself. I simply do not have the time or inclination to do this. We are a busy salon and time gets away from us. The task of research of the software is always on the list but always gets pushed when we have to look after our clients or staff. I would learn better if I could attend a course or if someone could come out and spend some time with me.
In short, we are paying for a system and not using it to its full potential. I have been researching other software as I think if I set it up from scratch I would have a better understanding of it and it would benefit business growth.

easy to use, the appointment reminders were invaluable, the bookkeeping feature was easy to execute and understand, the stock record keeping was great.

Sometimes i was frustrated that there was not a help desk phone call to talk me though any issues. But that is only because I am of that era that prefers telephone calls to emails.

The software is web based so can access from anywhere.

Relatively simple to use, even stylists with very little computer experience can navigate their way around the common functionality.

Has Xero integration for end of day.

Software is old. It's using old web technology. Clunky to use, not mobile friendly, not user friendly - especially in the setups. Editing and saving things takes you to different screens on save so you have to keep going back.

There is a basic mobile app, which might as well not exist.

Software went down 4 times (for more than a few hours at a time in full working day) in a space of 3 months. A basic apology via their Facebook page and an email. Nothing else. 6 months later they increase the monthly fee by nearly 15%.

Reports are ok, but never detailed enough. Data in the report changes (rebooking) and date limits on reports.

They have Support for the software. But if you want good support, well I wouldn't count on it. There is no phone support, only email.

Only received one call from the Support team, when we were leaving Simple Salon. Prior to that, had an urgent issue and also requested a manager to call me, they didn't want to know about it.

Clunky, not intuitive, online booking portal is appalling, our clients complain it’s virtually impossible to use

I have been using it for over 8 years simple to use and value for money does it all and the back up is great would not even think of using anything else

Booking are cloud based. And I could track inventory

Need an easier way to tick off inventory. A check box beside each product that says correct and then another box to add a total if not correct. Then it can ask for details on next page. But too hard at the moment have to print out and hand write to keep track

manually entering in clients easy to use however takes a lot of time hoping online system is more improved.

- online booking system difficult to set up and alter. Also has a lot of technique problems not confirming clients appointments via email when they have booked in. Difficult to obtain customer support and help impacting my business.
reminder emails/ sms - having trouble purchasing sms credits thereby only unable to send email reminders. have not heard from customer support team.
reminder email - cannot edit the automatic reminders where its set up as "10% discount if you mention this message" would like to alert the promotion.

It is so easy to use and has so many features . It’s really affordable and you get so much for what you pay for .

Only problem I have encountered was the couple of times it went off line . But other than that it probably has more features then what I use but that’s not a con really.

Its very easy to use, and the cloud base makes it simple to run my business even when I am not in front of the computer

I can’t do enough for accounting, marketing is a little hard to work around.

It makes a booking in clients so simple and easy when we are busy in the salon, I can reach all my clients easily if we are doing marketing and the reminder notifications has completely cut down no show appointments. Also links straight to my accounting software, so simple.

12months in and really no problems at all, you can as features as you need or keep it really simple.

Easy to use, has everything in it to run a small business

Expensive for a small business we are considering a change to another software because of cost we have 5 users in our salon all casual employees work 1 or 2 days each sadly will most likely be leaving the simple salon to a free software option.

It’s a way to use salon sideware. Love that it has a application use, so that I can make and manage appointments when I’m out of the salon. Like that it connects to my zero account, making accounting easy. Is keeping up with current payment trends, with the use of Afterpay. Overall I’m very happy with the product and the price. Highly recommended.

would be better if it had a scroll system in the admin section. Is frustrating on the numbering system.

i liked the ease to set it up and the option for payment integrations. i liked the clean simple layout of the system and its steps. I liked the client profiles. easy to use and lots of space for notes, medical conditions etc.

i didn't love the online booking portal, a lot of my clients food they had trouble with it. I also didn't like the discounts set up. i wanted both percentage and amount and was unable to have both on at the same time.

Easy to use, and they are always updating and bringing out more features.

Have had no issues with simple salon. Any features that I would have liked have always been added at some point over the 6 years of using it.
