The security and ease of use is very helpful. We are able to get potential buyers all of the relevant documents in a concise manner and to track who is reading what documents.

Being used to other virtual data room databases, it takes a bit of time to get up the learning curve on the nuances of DealRoom versus others.

New to it so still struggling to figure it all out. I really dislike that I can't track contacts and follow up prior to getting someone to a possible deal.

This software is easy to use and very intuitive. We've had several clients comment about how simple the experience has been so far.

There are no real cons about this product thus far. I have not had any issues using DealRoom since I became a customer.

We work on a small team that is spread out across multiple offices and this software enabled up to collaborate seamlessly and check on the progress of a task without being intrusive. Very easy to use.

There was a bit of a learning curve but once we figured out the software, it was excellent.

No major issues! Seems like the speed of the site is good and easy to download. Would be nice to see what items you have already downloaded though.

We loved the ability to loop in constituents from a variety of places to see only what they needed to see, as well as the granular level of visibility and control that made monitoring and compliance as pain-free as possible.

There were a few features that would have been great out of the box that weren't available, but our account team was happy to help us develop user-side solutions to accommodate nearly everything we wanted to do.

What I liked most was the speed and ease of the bulk download function. Due to the transactional nature of my work, I have used many different data room providers. DealRoom certainly performs in the top range and compares amongst the best. The ability to access and save a bulk download link is particularly useful when my internet connection may be patchy while travelling, and I might require multiple tries to download a file.

The notifications feature could be improved. As my organisation removes the formatting from emails, it would be very useful to have an option to send notifications as text (without html).

The software platform is easy to navigate and use for document reviews and downloads.

Lack of features typically offered by other third-party providers like bulk download, VDR export among others.

My favorite is the ability to download the data room index and keep folders organized. Organization is key!

There isn't anything I like least about the software.

Our analyst recently departed I so I had to quickly step into manage the VDR for a client transaction. To my happy surprise, DealRoom was very to use (and very intuitive). I highly recommend the product.

Nothing comes to mind. Perhaps the analytics behind how folks are using the VDR could be enhanced.

Affordable product, practical, it is a good alternative for small-mid sized companies that want to invest in a virtual data room in an M&A context

misses a range of features to make the jump from average to good
missing:
- bookmarking for users to indicate on which document they were
- individual commenting of documents visible for all
- user specific marking of documents for working through the document
- large excel sheets are not possible to view in a good way. Any kind of zoom feature for this format is missing

I use this software on larger m&a deals and it enables very efficient organization and access to data rooms containing a large number of documents

I can't think of anything to improve the product

How files were organized and the email alerts I received when new files have been uploaded.

Difficult to determine date of file uploads through the deal room website.

Intuitive and easy to navigate...easy to provide permissions and controls over data

Clearing the template in the beginning to fit our needs/structure...didn't seem easy and needed to solicit help.

Easy to access user interface, speed is never an issue. The ability to track specific requests on an individual basis is valuable.

No obvious cons, some files have trouble downloading, but assume that is user error more so than Dealroom issues

The flexibility of the tool and the ability to track user progress and ping them through the tool to make updates

The downloading and uploading of documents is a little clunky, otherwise it’s very powerful but super expensive compared to other competitor options
