There can be the odd bug in the system where it throws out check code for trucks when there is actually nothing wrong.

Very accurate and instant information, picture does not lie.

Reports could be improved but always getting better

Easy to plug and play both the ELD gateway and the camera. Customer service is great, always responds within the same business day. The customer portal is extremely user friendly with new features every month.

Billing is very difficult - multiple bills, not just one bill. Reports for personal conveyance and missing DVIR are not part of the standard reports as we found in Omnitracs XRS.

The use of Samsara has become our best friend when it comes to locating assets and drivers in real time day to day operations. Dash cams help you improve on the driver's behavior along with implementing the score cards for your fleet. Samsara has helped us improve with our fleet when it comes to monitoring speed and Driver behavior events. Reports help you vitalize the use of assets, drivers, Mills with geofences. Overall, Samsara is the #1 leading operation system for us.

I don't think there is anything that I least like

I love the A.I. technology, it notifies are office if a driver is distracted or playing on his phone. Safety is our priority and Samsara helps us tremendously.

I liked the Ag46 tags the least due to disconnecting and going offline, besides that the new Ag51 tags work great.

easy to use app features are east to understand and easy to read

logging out after completing post-trip doesn't always fully log out and when there is yard movement the driver is thrown back into driving.

Thier customer support for outstanding! They truly go above and beyond and are forward thinking.

That we didnt switch over to them soon enough.

How user friendly it is. Any changes can be made and that the user is in complete control.

Mass uploads can be tricky due to templates, but besides that it has been easy and awesome.

It allows us real time tracking, communication to drivers, route info easy to send... Most of the features are useful here.

I could only pull tidbits of a driver's previous trip history which is a bummer,
and as mentioned earlier in review, the system if unplugged loses tracking location in which, the reason we made the switch is because we were told that it would continue to track.

Speed and accuracy when it comes to asset tracking.

GPS part of the mobile app has some room for improvement.

I find the ease of use good for monthly audits. I do not own the Samsara product I use. I have full login credentials as a contract safety rep. I only do monthly and spot audits but find the accuracy and ease good. Once I learned the system, audits can be done relatively quick and systematically. Other programs seem to require redundant actions to do the same thin.

I do not see the driver's end of it, but it seems there be some features that would make it mandatory to fill some fields or alerts that the driver did not add a shipping doc or trailer #. Or most common issues.

Samsara is the total package from installation to implementation to ease of use. Hands down the best provider & software in the game.

Vehicle tracking accuracy and ease of use for drivers using daily logs.

Some reports are incomplete or have to reference multiple reports to locate all information needed.

They have some benefits, but I refuse to do business with companies like this. See review below

Company has poor customer service. We had 6 dashcams with them for 3 years and I wanted to cancel at the end of the contract. They have fine print in their contract that it will automatically renew at end of three years and you have to let them know 30 days in advance to cancel the renewal. I left them know at end and they refuse to refund me the entire next year charge. I would easily agree to pay them for one month extension, but no they want the entire $1600 for a whole year.. These are marks of a slimey/scammy company.
Please stay away from this company. I have other products with this company on another contract and was planning to keep it long term, but not now. Good luck to this company to try to grow with this kind of policies and tactics. Check out Motive for their dashcams. They have just file lawsuit against Samsora.

Easy to use and the accurate GPS makes giving our client exact ETA's when they request EXACT ETA's. The camera features are amazing

Customer Service needs to improve. When the customer has a problem we need to feel like we are being heard and that we are important, because our customers depend on us and we depend on GPS for every part of our business.

Support Response Times - some times it takes a while to get an answer and then it's just a link to the Samsara help site, that I told support I had already checked.
GPS/Speeds - GPS still pulls wrong roadways or shows the driver in a field. The speeds are still a manual update, stating the speed is 25mph when it's actually 55mph or 60mph.

Seeing where my fleet is works.
All other features that they offer are bothersome to your drivers.

If you are a growing company be cautious signing a contract with them.
If any of your fleet is going to be idle for more than 1-2 weeks expect endless vehicle dead batteries because the samsara device has high parasitic battery draws.
Customer service is an endless loop of passing you around until they close your ticket without a resolution.
Your customer rep will change endlessly and you will be left unsupported.
I made the mistake of choosing a self contained tracker for some of my equipment to avoid the battery drain issue but they have a battery that has to be replaced monthly if you want it to track more than a few times a week. This battery powered unit has a special expensive non-charging battery that you have to buy from Samsara. It will give you a 1/4 mile location of your equipment as well that is useless. I tried with phone calls, emails, website submittals to get this resolved and they can't and then make me pay out the remainder of the 3 year contract for poor performing units.
The features for driver training are annoying and poorly performing. Telling the drivers throughout the day they are about to get in an accident etc. I disabled all of that immediately to avoid having my entire team quit because of the voice telling them to be coached.
