VirtualBox Erfahrungen

What I like most about VirtualBox is that it can run smoothly and without burdening the local system. Besides, its free configurability is also a very nice thing.

I think my least favorite part is that sometimes there are points in the configuration settings that I have difficulty understanding.

I love virtual box because of the following reason
1. Free to use
2. Supports windows, Linux and Mac

Guest addons helps seamless movement between physical and virtual devices and supports copying files between physical and virtual host. You can also create shared folder between physical and virtual devices. Supports USB controller that enables you to connect your webcam or any usb devices to virtual host. You can create snapshot for taking backup of your virtual hosts.

Its not as fast as VMWare workstation
Consumes heavy CPU
User interface needs lot of improvement as i am seeing the same interface for almost 10+ years.

I like the fact that it is an open-source tool and helps excellently when it comes to virtualization and you can do a whole lot more with it. It's my go-to place when it comes to testing a solution rather than having it seat on my main system while my usage covers more than just that I would say it's a good tool.

One thing have not really liked so much about VirtualBox is that many times you need to do some extra configurations and downloading to get a fullscreen mode and it can get pretty complicated at times based on experience while this does not hold true for every situation but most times unlike other solutions that it's just a seamless click and you're up and going.

I love it, because it allows just with a few clicks, I can spin up virtual machines that mirror popular Android and iOS devices, complete with different screen sizes, resolutions, and operating system versions.

I've found VirtualBox's performance can be a bit sluggish, especially when testing more demanding mobile UI designs. Occasionally, I've experienced lag and responsiveness issues within the virtual machines, which can hinder the testing process.

Very flexible and supports many platforms.

Still a little on the clunky side and a little dated-looking.

It's fast, the installation process is not complicated, full of resources and documentation.

Some virtual machines failed and the logs were not helpful at all, didn't describe or provide extra information about the error.

Easy to use/user's friendly, easy to access, great compatibility with most OS.

Is very easy to set up a new and several virtual machine, in more You can define several parameters for what You need and test different setup

There some things that don't work properly and for file transfer You need to use different things to overcome this problem

Very useful tool to make a virtual PC. At once I used windows and ubuntu on a same computer using this application. Nic software with user-friendly interface.

Since this application runs on top of a existing operating system, it uses higher portion your CPU and RAM. Therefore, you will need at least a machine i3 processor and 8GB RAM in order to run this software without lagging.

It is cheap and easy to install it runs very smoothly on your pc or laptop

Sometime is really hard to confirure virtual machines and it requires alot space in your main pc.

I used virtualbox both for development purposes (recreate production environments on my local machine) and recreational ones (testing and previewing Linux distros) and it has always worked great. Very quick to spin up new machines and to transfer settings and vdi between hosts.

Sometimes it is difficult to make some advanced configuration with external devices. In Linux sometimes it has permission issues.

I like how easy it is to use data management wise

There’s nothing I like, like least about virtual box

I love how it’s free and you can create a virtual machine pretty easily with lots off options.

I wish you could virtualize Mac OSs. You can, but not easily and smoothly.

I loved the fact that setup of macos virtual machine was seamless

I hope the documentation on the use of VirtualBox is a bit more detailed.

I was able to run and test many different operating systems on my desktop withought having to reinstall my machine every time.

Auto backup of VDI and snapshot on daily basis. Easy to configure and make the VM available with less effort and time stamp.

Not supported for latest Mac book with M1 processor, no update and also no proper customer support. Oracle Virtual box consuming more system process and makes the system to go hung state.

VirtualBox is a seamless virtualization solution that allows me to run multiple operating systems on my computer with ease.

I don't have any negative words to say about this product.

The biggest advantage is the price (the program is free!). Apart from that, it works correctly and there is nothing to complain about.

At times, complicated settings (e.g., regarding graphics handling or access to external USB devices).
