We can receive and send referrals electronically. For me, it's very convenient if you're working from and or working as a Va and you have no access to a fax machine or you don't want to waste any more papers.

at first, setting this up is very confusing. you need to have assistance from the company in order to set this up with your printer or computer device.

Faxing and document management. HIPAA compliant. Telemed option is a plus.

Sometimes a little slow or glitchy, but outages are usually quickly addressed.

Once I subscribed there were changes; Did not inform of changes. In puerto rico could sign in by email only.

I was looking for a software to help staff be remote working and still have access to fax options that they didn't need an actual device. UPDox is just the solution for that.

I dont like that they dont integrate with all EMR vendors right now which would really help with adoption in healthcare.

Nothing. They took my money and did not afford me the services I paid for. Do not use this product under any circumstances. They will take your money and rip you off but won’t refund your money.

Nothing. I couldn’t even access the product traveling out of the country. They made me purchase a US VPN and it didn’t work and they just acted like it was my fault. There support staff was clueless.

Its a relativley good service which works when it does, and the support is really good. They have a status page that keeps users updated on known issues. Virtual printer is a great tool and creating groups and adding users is pretty easy.

No export tools for obtaining a list of fax lines, daily issues with various services and for a large clinic such as ours this has been a problem more than once. UI is very dated and the tools they have are limited.

texting is the only positive feature, when it works and the system isnt down. they dont have a backup system if it fails. it fails a lot

I am a nurse practitioner with a micro functional medicine practice, always looking to be as paperless as possible. I love Updox for several reasons. One is that when labs come in, I have many tools to use to sign off on the labs, highlight abnormals, write notes on the lab itself and then easily download the results. Currently Updoz does not interface with my EHR but hopefully in the future for ease of moving it straight into the patients chart. I also love that I can drop a blank word document into the main portal and create a new document right there with ease and then fax out. This makes writing medical necessity letters for patients easy, new lab orders, things that require my signature.

I wish they would integrate with Power 2 Practice, my EHR.
Recently, Updox fixed a feature which has been so helpful. I can now easily resend a fax from where it originated, after writing on it or signing it. That hadn't been a user friendly function before now so thank you!

What I like most is the ability to send all the documents that I need to fax for the day over to this software, while Updox keeps it organized and in order, easy to view and classify and send with just a couple of clicks.
This software also makes it easy to double-check your work and not deal with all the paper mess.
The integration to our medical software was easy and simple and troubleshooting anything with the company is always accessible.

The only feature I dislike is the contacts system. Making a new contact or cleaning up your contact list should be simpler than it is now.

It is tied to a clinical address book, and easily escalated text messaging with patients or other colleagues, or anyone really. The key to video chat is making sure that the event happens when expected, there are no unnecessary delays on either end, and that getting people involved is tied to messaging communication, which is far more of a foundation than any video chat process itself

Would like the ability to make a phone call out to invite in a translator or third party, same for a group video chat. But I know that is being worked on anyway

I love the easiness of using Updox! I don't have to hunt around, bother customer service for what I need to do. Some of the other software/applications that I use, are time consuming and exhausting to figure out.

I would like to see it integrate with my EMR so that I don't have to download documents from Updox and then upload them into the EMR.

I would like to see this completely embedded or integrated into the EHR software that I use (Amazing Charts), rather than having to launch a separate software.

The ability to pull records directly from the pt's chart into the UPDOX program for faxing.

Inability to use a referral providers cover sheet or "loose" records to upload into UPDOX

Ease of setup and use are what led me to switching to Updox many years ago.

Nothing. They have stayed ahead of what the consumer needs to maintain a medical practice.

With the flag system it has it makes it easy to assign incoming faxes to correct person. Love that you can fax from here as well. Saves paper for sure!

I can't say that there are features I do not like. It moves quick and simple to use. If I have to pick something I will say I wish there were a folder for each person to 'save' if needed.

The text message feature helps us connect easier with our patients in reminding of appointments.

I do not have any cons at this time. Everything has worked great for my use of the system/product.
