The visuals in Unreal Engine games are stunning, and the cross-platform capabilities are excellent. Technically, it's superior to Unity, but in terms of usability, it's more stable. In terms of updates and bug fixes, Unreal is ahead of Unity, and its pricing is unbeatable.

The node material editor is the only thing I can think of that I don't like. It's not very user-friendly, and the names of the nodes required to construct a material are unlike anything I've seen in any other DCC. Because of just that one aspect, the learning curve is quite steep.

It's a very useful and powerful tool for game development and 3D environment presentation, thanks to it, I've been able to create very realistic and interactive environments. It offers many possibilities as it covers different areas of three-dimensional design, from virtual tours to high-quality audiovisual production. The lighting effects and material presentation are perhaps the best on the market, all this with great fluidity, without taking hours to render scene by scene like traditional rendering software.

One of the biggest disadvantages of the software is its complexity, which, although it can be interesting to discover, limits its reach to the general public. It has several features that can be simple, such as importing and arranging 3D objects in the environment, but others that are quite complex, such as programming and animating these objects, as well as compiling projects, which can be a headache for those who are not familiar with programming and computing and come from a design background.

As far as I know PUBG is one of the game that the Graphics was under UNREAL ENGINE, during play game for me graphics are nice and very detailed, graphics in max settings was likely gives your games intense and exciting.

Since graphics is nice and very detailed mostly games under UNREAL ENGINE needs high PC Requirements. but I think there is an option you can lower the graphics at cost of game speed.

There are so many pro's to using Unreal Engine it's ridiculous, so I am just going to keep it general because I doubt I could even remember all the specifics. Simply put, it actually FEELS like a company that WANTS you to succeed. I came into Unreal Engine with 0 experience and have been able to program a game (it's unfinished) where my character can move, my map is procedural generated, I've got enemies that move/attack, I figured this out from complete scratch, I have never coded anything in my life and I was able to do this with free tutorials (except for one time where I paid $1 to someone's patrion to help with enemy detecting players and stuff like that). Back to what I was saying at the beginning where they actually want you to succeed, at every turn it felt like there was someone there helping me, for instance I needed combat items and pick-up-able items in my game, and I was 100% I was going to have to ALSO learn a program like blender to make those items and import them over, nope, they have a free store IN the engine that allows you to just grab stuff like that, and they are fantastic, not just some crap. They have different numbers of triangles for each item, even the one (I'm blanking on the name) but where the triangles reduce when you are further away. They have thousands of materials for anything you would like, they legitimately want to allow people like me, with 0 experience, to make anything they want, and the do a heck of a job at it.

There are no cons, there are legitimately no cons. Now take this with a grain of salt because I came into with 0 experience and am probably around 500-1000 hours in now, so there could be cons I could not identify, but I think even someone with experience would agree, because even with the nodes that are designed to make programming a game easier, you can edit with C++ if you are some advanced-game-making-wizard and want to make them customized. I just don't see why you would make a game on any other platform at this point.

Unreal has been used for a number of triple A games, and after using the product, it is understandable why. Many features are easy to pick up, but underneath the simplicity the nuts and bolts are very complex and well integrated. With a thorough knowledge of coding, one boarders on wielding magic when using Unreal Engine.

The learning curve is rather steep, as is to be expected; coding, game development, etc, is hard, and takes much knowledge and skills. However, Unreal Engine provides many learning aids both in the program itself and in axillary programs they run and support. Once the base knowledge has been gained and imprinted into the mind, the tool only becomes more useful.

- Unreal engine's node system makes it easy to accomplish what would take months of learning to write code to do.

- UI is neatly presented.

- With everything that you can do in Unreal, it only makes sense that you need a powerful machine to run it properly. Even then, my personal Microsoft Surface 3 (its old I know) can run Unreal on low settings enough to still work on my game.

Unreal Engine is an industry standard application for creating complex 3D games.
The pricing is great for indies as UE4 takes a rev share only if the product goes above a revenue threshold. As with UE5 that threshold will be 1 mil $ and let's face it, what indie game will make it so far? And then it's supposedly 5%.
UE4 has everything you need for big 3D projects:
* coding close to the machine in C++ so you can go almost as deep as you want
* the software itself can be shippe with the source code so you can alter it
* if you prefer a less code heavy approach you can use their blueprint editor which acts like a flowchart
* great animation tool with easy to use blending
* free forever assets from the UE4 team and as well as from the community monthly (this is really amazing compared to the competition, you can just hoard assets for a whole year and when you decide to get into it you'll have so many free things to choose from already)
* easy networking and they don\t ask that you use any of their services
* a lot of guides and tutorials both from the UE4 team as well as from the community
* a mature community (compared to say Unity which got a lot of their developers through viral youtubers showcasing games made in Unity)
* a lot of paid (and free) assets to choose from

Unreal Engine being so complex and close to the machine requires a lot of time even for the most basic of actions unless you have a super powerful computer and I think this is the biggest con with the software.
Other cons are the following:
* bugs, as the competition has them too, though it seems to me that UE4 has a bit more
* crashes, it crashes more than Unity at least on my computer which is not too powerful actually
* would have big problems running on laptops compared to the competition (Unity)
* weird interface, not too consistent
* bulky interface, a lot of buttons everywhere and I find myself not using half of them
* big installation size which can become a problem if you keep a few versions up (to open different projects and not have to migrate them)
* very rarely, assets from the store are discovered as being fraudulent
* wonky for 2D, a project like that needs way more work than Unity
* launcher is kinda laggy

Being based on an existing game, and evolving since the earlier ages of 3D games, Unreal3D is the perfect match for any Studio which doesn't want to build, maintain and optimize its own in-house Engine. The expertise of Epic, the number of users worldwide and the multiple layers of development allows many different users to access and create assets/features easily. The Engine comes up with a great online tutorial and basic project within the engine, allowing anyone to play around and create prototypes easily. Blueprints are also a great way for anyone to experiment with behaviors and mechanics, without any code knowledge. When getting deeper into the production of a project, the possibility to turn those blueprints into actual C++ code, offers even more optimization possibilities to the developers. The access to a lot of plugins, assets and blueprints on the Unreal Marketplace is also a great way to share knowledge and allow projects to move forward.

The Engine is heavy and demands a powerful computer. This is a mandatory investment if you want to push your project further. The Engine is also very fat and the bigger it grows, the more space it will take on your versioning software. Unreal3D also offers limited compatibility with git (our version software of choice).

You can use it from novice to expert, thanks to its user-friendly interface and extensive tool set.

Compared to its rivals, it provides better visual technology and material editors that are extremely useful to game designers.

Even if you've never coded before, Unreal Engine's visual scripting makes it simple to create a game.

Compared to Godot or Unity, Unreal is a more difficult platform to use. Because of the small size of the Unreal community and the restrictions imposed by studio contracts, many people with expertise in Unreal are restricted from freely sharing their knowledge online. In contrast, with Unity, there are literally thousands of websites, youtube channels, courses, and other resources available to anyone who wants to start making games from scratch. Finally, you can make 2D games in Unreal, but it's better to use GameMaker or Unity for 2D games. As a result, the community and engine support have grown and improved.

There are numerous AAA games developed in the Unreal Engine, which only serves to further cement its reputation as a leading platform for the creation of video games. With Ue's multiplatform support, it's easy to bring a console game to a mobile device.

To use UE, you'll have to spend years mastering the tiniest of details. In spite of the program's advanced user interface, the learning curve remains steep. As a tool for those who already know how to use it, but as an investment of time and money for small-time indie companies, it is a waste of time and money.

For starters, almost any 3D game made in Unreal Engine looks beautiful. By default it applies a ton of Post Processing effects. (See Cons).
As opposed to other engines, almost any feature you could want is Built right into the engine itself. No need for external packages such as visual scripting, shader making, etc. These tools make it easy enough for a beginner to pick up, but are still great for advanced use in full studios.

Well, for one, the system requirements are much higher than Unity's. This means that you can't run it on any old computer. The other frustrating thing is that the language is C++, making scripting a little difficult to grasp at times. Additionally, the pricing is annoying too. It's free to use, but you have to share 5% of revenue. For an indie studio this can come out to be a significant loss.

It is extremely powerful, in terms of having high quality assets and rendering lighting. Unreal Engine is perfect for developing high end graphic intensive games. The rendering of lighting and shadows really helps to make the scenes more immersive too.

The integration of an IDE (e.g. Visual Studio Code/Visual Studio) isn't as seamless yet. There are still flaws, such as the lack of autocompletion sometimes, and bugs when sync-ing the code in the IDE and Unreal Engine.

Visual fluidity and detail are two of the most important factors in games that I thoroughly enjoy and want to replay at a later date. Unreal Engine delivers.

I've searched my brain for any negative comments about Unreal Engine to leave an honest review, and can confidently say I don't have a single complaint. I am absolutely pleased with this brand's performance, and can't wait to see what they'll work up next.

One of the best features of unreal engine was the graphics of unreal engine is very impressive we can build games we can create cinematics and animations, it's a complete package for gaming studios. we can do modeling landscape, create a complete game using unreal engine.

One drawback i faced lots of time is that the lagging issue, when we add assets to the unreal engine project it lags a lot. and also it crashes several times and also the interface is quite hard to use but still those who know how to work on unreal engine they can build some amazing masterpieces.
