It's a convenient way to keep track of vacation and sick time, as well as communicate with coworkers about upcoming absences. It's an improvement over our old leave-tracking system that's far more convenient.
Vorteile
BambooHR has made it simple for our global team to communicate and coordinate on business holidays and paid time off, as well as keep tabs on their respective leave balances. The ability to view the work anniversaries of all employees is a fantastic perk.
Nachteile
This makes it difficult for us to celebrate the holidays with our international colleagues. They also had a web UI that wasn't particularly user-friendly, although it has gotten much better over time.

Vorteile
They made the administrative side of HR so much easier for us. Easy tracking, automatic reminders, clearly display everything to staff, conduct performance reviews, onboarding and offboarding simplified. All great. Really helped our business get to the next level with staffing. We were so deeply upset when their business practices forced us to find a different product.
Nachteile
After almost 4 years as a loyal customer, they restructured their subscription packages moving us from top tier to mid tier and moving some of the add-on features we were paying extra for into the top tier. At that point they told us that unless we upgraded with a 75% price increase we would no longer receive upgrades to those features. The point of subscription software is that we are paying for the continual development and upgrades. It is totally not ok to force existing customers to pay monthly for legacy software.
I tried to negotiate with them and ask for some kind of compromise, like grandfathering us into top tier only for those features or perhaps a discount on top tier for a period of time. They absolutely refused to work with me, straight up refused to let me talk to a manager, insisted that I had to take the full price increase to retain updates for the features I'd already been using for years. When I told them that was a terrible way to treat a loyal customer and that I would take my business elsewhere they were fine with it. Perhaps because we are a small business, they don't see it worth their time to keep us as a customer.
I would warn everyone away from BambooHR as you can't trust the prices they tell you you'll pay. Unreliable, predatory, and awful way to treat loyal customers. From a company that preaches about treating people well from an HR perspective, they sure don't understand how to treat customers.

Would like to be able to send for signatures to multiple people. Right now we have to print our evaluations and then have wet signatures on multiple people as it only allows for a couple signatures.

Finding certain areas that are embedded within drill down menus can be challenging at times. Setting user permission and visibility was not the easiest. Viewing the Business Organization Chart is not the easiest to view and click through.

A user friendly and functional HRIS system

Vorteile
When using the reporting function whether it's the standard reports of custom reports I appreciate the ability to customize the fields, and time span I need for my reports. The onboarding new starter packet and task customization is great to streamline the onboarding process. We are able to automate some of the tasks and track their completion. For example, we assigned some policies we need signatures on before their start date. The employee gets the chance to read these items before they start to best prepare themselves for their first day.
Nachteile
My least favourite thing about the onboarding packet function is the lack of ability to assign tasks to more than one person. For example I send tasks to our IT team to remind them we need equipment and accounts setup for a new hire. I had to create an individual task for each IT member, rather than a task for the whole group. We already have them grouped by access level, it would be nice to use that as an option to assign tasks.

With BambooHR, all employee documents are seamlessly sent out and stored within the platform. This not only eliminates the hassle of manual document distribution but also ensures that our records are centralized and easily accessible when needed.
Additionally, the ability for employees to clock in or enter their hours directly on the Bamboo platform has been a game-changer for our organization. Gone are the days of manual timesheets and potential errors in time tracking. With BambooHR, employees can conveniently log their hours from anywhere, whether they're in the office or working remotely. This not only promotes accountability but also provides us with real-time insights into our workforce's productivity and attendance.

Nachteile
Currently, BambooHR limits employees to being assigned to only one project at a time. It poses limitations for those with more dynamic project structures or employees who contribute to multiple initiatives simultaneously.
It would be highly beneficial if BambooHR could incorporate the ability to assign employees to multiple projects concurrently. This feature would provide organizations with greater flexibility in allocating resources and tracking employee contributions across different projects.

It's a step up from what our company was doing previously, but we definitely need to consider moving into a different HR software.
Vorteile
Once you finally construct an HR new hire packet to your liking, the rest of the process for onboarding is easy. PTO tracking is a simple feature to use as well.
Nachteile
-The system does not flag a candidate with duplicate SSN's, ID information etc. This is a critical downfall. A candidate can create several duplicate profiles with different emails or phone numbers to get around being classified as "not eligible for rehire". If you use this system, please be sure your staff does their due diligence to compare similar names, and middle names.
-Customer service is dreadful. Rather than specifically identifying your concern and providing a solution - your situation gets referenced to one of their articles. Then the ETA for an actual solution is left to ambiguity.
-Their system bugs often; For example, I just cleared my inbox today, and it's still prompting me on open tasks needing my attention.

Vorteile
I liked the custom features of nearly everything in the system. This made it easy to work with our existing structures and we built around that. The auto filing for signed policies was great, and the reminders for training needs was great for all employees, their supervisors, and the managers to ensure everything was on track for timelines and protocols.
Nachteile
The reporting features were not as extensive as I would have liked. Things may have changed, but the reports for specific and custom items was a little difficult. The customer service was mostly online or through their FAQs or videos which wasn't ideal if we were in a crisis situation, but overall a good product.

Vorteile
I love BambooHR in so many aspects. But my favorite would be how it can be integrated into other HR Software Tools and job boards. My work as a Technical Recruiter is to hunt for the right candidate and it became easier to do so when we integrated BambooHR to other tools we have.
Nachteile
The function of uploading the candidate's resume and manually entering the details one by one is pretty time-consuming. I am hopeful it will be better soon!

Bamboo is a very friendly HRIS, super intuitive, and easy to use, you can have everything in the same platform, your ats, performance reviews, files of each employee, surveys, onboarding, for the employees is very easy to use, ask for their vacations, see the org chart and check their info and documents anytime they want.

Honestly i like it very much, i will just add more things to the module of performance reviews because it can be a little bit limited

Overall BambooHR is one of the better HRIS/Payroll systems for which I have used. I would definitely say it is a great system for startup companies and small businesses.

Very good experience. Thier levels of service is consistent from the sales team to support team. This makes approaching them with queries or concerns extremely easy. Feedback is timely and consise.
Vorteile
Bamboo removes the use of multiple systems and platforms that don't speak to each other . All employee data from oboarding to offboarding is housed in one area where relevant persons have the relevant access to view. Ease of use and acces to mulitple learning experiences also sets Bamboo apart from other systems tested.
Nachteile
There are a few things in the Performance module that are not customizable. In our context scoring is extremely imortant to us. Notifications on when persons complete reviews would also make this more effecient. Right now I have to manually check to see who is completed.

Our overall experience is great. We use this tool daily and get very excited when new features get released, as it seems BambooHR really has their pulse of the needs of a company and is constantly fine tuning their services and adding new services.
Vorteile
We have 15 locations across several states. BambooHR helps all to all be on the same page when it comes to employee onboarding, important documents/files, managing time off requests & timesheets, and a central calendar. BambooHR is one of the pillars of our company and a tool that is used daily by most employees.
Nachteile
The support team is great and we always receive quick responses and issue resolution, but it would be nice to have a dedicated account manager that we could go to for problems and who really knows the ins and outs of our company to better assist and track problems over time. We have implemented Benefits Administration which is a huge asset for our company, however the integration with carriers has been slow and it feels like we are constantly going back and forth about the same issues. Aside from that, the customer service is top notch.

Vorteile
I find the platform to be incredibly easy to use and it helps me find everything related to my employment in one place. Moreover, the software's customizability feature enables each company to tailor the platform to their specific preferences.
Lastly, having all my documents, benefits, payroll, and other important information on the platform is a great convenience.
Nachteile
My main concern is that in our organization, we are currently utilizing separate systems for performance assessment, timesheets, and processing expenses. This has created a bit of a challenge in terms of seamless integration and efficiency.
