Sharepoint bietet viele Out-Of-The-Box Funktionen, die einen schnellen Einstieg ermöglichen. Microsoft erweitert die Funktionalität ständig. Sehr gut gefallen uns die KI-Funktionen, die Sharepoint mit anderen Microsoft-Services verbinden, wie z.B. Exchange.

Die Echtzeit-Zusammenarbeit funktioniert machmal nicht wie gewünscht.

An sich sind die Möglichkeiten was Freigaben und Berechtigungen angeht hier vielfältig.Versionierung, gleichzeitiges arbeiten, Tiefe Integration in andere Produkte besonders der Powerplattform lassen einem wirklich fast alles realisieren.

In der neusten Cloudversion immer noch Oberflächen aus den alten onPrem Versionen.Die Complianceeinstellungen wer, wann, was teilen kann sind etwas intransparent und es dauert lange bis man wirklich das konfiguriert hat was man möchte.Insbesondere im Zusammenhang mit Azure Information Protection ist es nicht einfach die entsprechenden Richtlinien zu setzen, sodass die Anforderungen erfüllt werden.

Dokumentenmanagement ist einigermaßen ok.

Es gibt keine Rückgängigmachen Funktion. Wenn man etwas aus Versehen falsch gemacht hat ist schwer wieder zu herstellen. Die Oberfläche ist unflexibel. Es fehlt auch Tag-Funktionen. Etwas zu finden oder zu eine Dashboard zu kreieren ist schwer. Sieht unmodern aus. Für News Feed eine automatische Benachrichtigung zu erstellen ist auch schwierig.

Die Funktionalität des Dokumenten-Teilen und die Datenbankfunktion inkl. der wirkungsvollen Zugriffssteuerung ist für uns entscheidend.

Das konfigurieren von eigenen Sichten und die grafische Anpassung ist sehr kompliziert und stösst unerfahrenere Nutzer ab.

Hin und wieder Synchronisationsprobleme von Dateien oder Ordnern

Arbeiten unabhängig von Ort und Zeit, alle Daten jedezeit im Zugriff

Eine stabile Internetverbindung ist notwendig und Datenvolumen wird benötigt

Da ich viele Webinare geben, war diese Software für mich recht gut. Es ist gar nicht so leicht eine Bewertung zu schreiben, da , wenn man von einem Produkt schwärmt oft als Fake Bewertung abgetan wird. Doch ich kann es wirklich aus ganzem Herzen empfehlen

Can be easily shared among a community of people and made very accessible to the organisation with the required information, details ,data and important documents on cloud

Probably there’s nothing that is missed or unliked about this application .

Permission management: This is super relevant and wonderful for controlling what your audience can see and do, for example, when you need someone to constantly see changes to a "living document" but not have the ability to intervene in the process.

Contact groups: I find it super good since not necessarily the site administrators are the only ones who can manage the group, you can make any member of the group can manage the rest of the members without this being involved in other site settings . Also when granting permissions, distributing documents, announcements, tasks, it is very easy to do it by group of contacts than one by one.

Version history: We know that we are exposed to errors and accidents, so having the previous versions of a document, being able to see who has modified and having the possibility of restoring any of those versions can save the day. I always feel that I am protected and that is why I always promote working in the cloud.

Please provide some detailed examples of areas where MS SharePoint has room for improvement. These could be features that are hard to use, missing functionality, or just things that you'd like to see done differently.

Modern view / classic view: I really appreciate the minimalist change that has been made with many of the menus in the latest versions of sharepoint, but most of the time it complicates me and generates many more clicks (much more time) wanting to do one This action can be done by changing to the classic view from the ribbon, for example, managing permissions for a site, being able to manage sharepoint groups.

A little more advanced configurations, without becoming complex that depend a lot on the IT department.

Descriptions of some options or settings can become confusing, complicated and you simply are not able to know if it is what you are looking for or not, the language to the user is sometimes understood only through trial and error.

Microsoft SharePoint provides an easy way to connect participants and mentors, it allows to share files in any format like PDFS, videos, word documents,and ppts etc.

One of the downsides of Microsoft SharePoint is it does not provide filter option, so that it will be difficult for searching a files.

Essentially everything about Office 365 is wrapped around the core of Sharepoint online. As Microsoft began investing in their online offerings they used this existing structure for an intranet to allow groups to collaborate on materials to work across the internet rather than just across the office. This time-tested, monolithic system isn't fast and flashy, but it is capable if you spend the time learning how to achieve your outcomes within its constraints.
In a time where the consumer-focused ease of use and design first function second products offer a slick entry point to productivity and collaboration, once you start interacting with systems deeper and need access controls, audit trails, backups, and the things that established companies demand in order to operate you quickly begin to have an appreciation for the capability of Sharepoint as a legacy system that has people working on it to make sure it evolves to stand the test of time.

Its feature richness is a benefit and a challenge as it is complex to learn all of the capabilities and how to manage them.

Intuitive User Interface: The interface of SharePoint is well designed and easy to navigate. It is simple for even non-technical users to find what they are looking for and make use of the features offered.Collaboration and Document Management: SharePoint's collaboration features make it easy for teams to work together on projects, share documents, and communicate effectively. The document management features are robust, with versioning, check-in/check-out, and approval workflows making it easy to control access to and maintain the integrity of important files.Customization: SharePoint allows for customization through the use of templates, web parts, and custom code, making it possible to create unique solutions that meet the specific needs of an organization.

Steep Learning Curve: SharePoint can be a complex platform, and while the user interface is intuitive, it can take time to fully understand all of the features and capabilities offered. Some users may find it difficult to get up to speed without the help of an expert.Limited Mobile Support: While SharePoint does offer a mobile app, it is limited in its capabilities and is not as user-friendly as the desktop version. This can make it difficult for users to work with SharePoint on the go.

Microsoft SharePoint provides an easy way to access all the documents and files which are shared by mentors

One of the disadvantage about Microsoft SharePoint is it is not available for Everyone, who are having Microsoft 365 are eligible to access it.

Easy to use and deploy across the company, ability to restrict content access through security groups. Flexible and able to use it as content management, intranet and knowledgebase solution.

Some administration options are difficult to find with many sub folders / options of settings. Not everything is in a clear easy to find location.

Easy to use and create sites. Supports multiple app types to save and share data of varying types from simple table content to big files. Calendar sharing to broadcast events. Request raising made very easy for any planned jobs and status can be monitored in real time

Migration is being difficult to move a list from one sp to other sp site which could me made easier by enhancing an api.

Sharing documents with multiple teams for real time feedback without creating endless copies. Enables remote working and syncs with all other Microsoft apps really well. Couldn't live without it!

Browser versions of documents have some limited functionality, e.g. Power BI, Excel. Not usually a problem as can use in an app version, but would use the browser version more if full functionality was possible.

It's a good feature to share file & we can access all over devices at same time, multiple user can work on same file. It save over time & money. No need to store duplicate file with multiple user.

More security required to user data from hackers and data theft.

This software has a great price for non-profits orgs, and has some pretty incredible, useful features. However, those features are only good if the org's staff is willing to invest time into learning to use them.

The emails that are sent to the administrators with upcoming changes are written to an IT audience. For a small organization that may not have the staff with that expertise or experience, they are difficult to understand. I really wish Microsoft emails could be understood by a larger audience.

I love that SharePoint makes collaboration easy. We used to take notes on pen and paper and reconcile our thoughts via emails. Now, we whip up OneNote online and write our notes before the meeting, discuss our thoughts in the meeting and write take-aways in OneNote. Decisioning has become really easy. We also share news across the company using SharePoint. That has worked very well.

Workflows and debugging is not the best in SharePoint. We have been bit by gotchas in workflows. They were had to debug. We just gave up on workflows in SharePoint and switched to doing those activities in a different manner.

Data Synchronization is absolutely grat. I like that every document is updated automatically and syncs in the cloud. This feature is incredibly helpful. I love that more that one user can be in the same document at the same time and Sharepoint updates and saves both peoples' edits and additions in real time.

I would say the time it takes to get all users up to speed in using this software as well as implementing training to get everyone utalizing this software to its full capacity takes time. This ofcourse goes back to user adoption. Within my organization, it took a while for all users to feel comfortable navigating within Sharepoint as well as it took them time to get acclimated to using this product.

The cost is relatively low for SharePoint when combined with Teams and other Microsoft applications. The integration across users, platforms, and programs is extremely useful in a modern-day business environment. I know that there are more features than I can imagine, and that I've barely scratched the surface of the program. This means I can count on it to always have features that will expand with my business's needs.

Features I like the least: difficult to learn how to deploy its robust features without seeking professional consultation. Hard to share and incorporate our system with users outside of the organization; this occasionally causes confusion.

Offers a ton of features, you don't have to use all of them but they are there if you need them. It can be used for document management (DMS) or even CMS for intranet purposes. It has a powerful search engine, you can manage complex permission scenarios, there is also the possibility to manage records, litigation holds, taxonomies, and more and more.
With the new modern UI users can also even more simply edit pages, place web parts on them to display different content like, text, images, videos, news feeds, document libraries, lists etc.
If you don't go the on-premise but the SharePoint Online route, you can save yourself the hassle of installing it on your own and have a very easy access to a powerful tool for collaboration or to simply display information.

Has some kind of a learning courve. Can be complex, especially if you want to take it to the next level and start to customize it. On-premise version is rather expensive and needs an IT professional to set up and also it should run on multiple servers and also MSSQL which adds to the license cost.

It is user-friendly and easy to deploy. Enable simultaneous access to the documents, and provides real-time updates and collaboration. Simplifies day-to-day business collaborations. Shared documents across different companies. Assist with meetings regulatory requirements, content management streamlined, and have effective decision-making tools. Easy to manage surveys and provides stats as required. Can integrate with other systems.

Integration requires extra development

+ Creating a new SharePoint site/app/directory is very easy and manageable. Users need to request the access before using the website or owner can manage how and whom to give what permission level of access on each site.
+ We could inherit permissions from top level site or we can manage permissions separately to each individual sub sites.
+ Permissions on each document level! Jaw Dropping feature of genius.
+ It has a plenty amount of features to choose from and you can customize each app to fit your business needs.
+ You can also add sandbox solution based or script based jssor/jsom apps to each SharePoint site.
+ Very easy to share files and information across our organization.
+ Perfect for document management and storage system for employees of many locations.
Syncing the SharePoint content is a nice feature.
+ Uploading/Checking in thousands of documents at one click with the help of explorer is definitely something special.
+ Connecting SharePoint calendars to your Outlook calendar will make your work life easy.
+ SharePoint Designer, Info path, Nintex, K2 all are bonus to have for OOTB Workflow configurations.
+ Content management Checkin, Checkout, Publish, Approve/Reject features are nice features to have on each document.
+ Not only Search, You can even do Filters among search results.
+ Not only Filters, You can do Best Bets on search results.
+ What is more, All search results are very fast across the whole website.

A humble advice to Microsoft SharePoint team! since we can't host External websites on cloud, It will be good if they come up with Team Communication sites, Forms apps within On Premises.

In Overall, There isn't anything to dislike about it, to be honest it is everything we've expected it to be.

The best thing about Sharepoint is how well it integrates, not just with Microsoft products like Office 365, Teams, AD, OneDrive, etc. but also with 3rd party tools like SAP, Adobe, Jira, etc. I really like the fact that it encourages live collaboration, especially when used with Office 365 to edit the same documents by multiple people. The content management functionality is also top-notch. It's effortless to customize and modify quickly. From the security standpoint, it has all the bells and whistles of other Microsoft products, like MFA, password policies, at rest and in-flight encryptions, etc.

As someone who had the misfortune of setting it up, Sharepoint migration and setup can be a daunting and complicated task. You must do extensive research and/or work with Microsoft partners to configure it. Otherwise, you are bound to run into issues, which can be very challenging to troubleshoot. However, if done right, it results in a very powerful tool.

The other thing to be mindful of is the cost. Both the licensing and the support can be expensive.
