Great platform for managing your business and a fantastic UI upgrade from Classic

Lightning is definitely the future of Salesforce and the vast majority of their new features and resources seem to be going towards Lightning. If you have not yet made the switch from Classic to Lightning, I would recommend doing it soon. And if you are getting into Salesforce for the first time, start with Lightning so you don't have to switch later.
Vorteile
A lot more user friendly and a much better UI than Salesforce Classic. It came out with a lot less features than classic, but in the past few months and years they have dedicated a lot of resources to improving Lightning to not only compare to Classic, but I think it now has even more features.
Nachteile
There is a learning curve to getting Lightning up and running. I would definitely recommend spending some time in the SF trailheads to get the ins and outs of Lightning before you switch from classic or sign up to start.

The best platform to manage clients' journey

Vorteile
I love how easy this tool makes the communication between the sales department, post sales, and support. The chatter tool is fabulous, the way the opportunities for sales and upsells are generated and managed is perfect and absolutely flawless. The reporting capabilities are super powerful.
Nachteile
It could take a while to configure, and the reporting tool is as powerful as complicated to configure and use

Lightning never strikes twice

The Lightning platform works for sales organizations that have a large number of employees, only because companies can afford to have missed opportunities strictly because of the excess number of sales reps. Transparency is limited, with many features locked or non-existent.
Vorteile
While I was used to the traditional salesforce platform, and quite partial to it- Lightning was useful for being able to bring new leads/opportunities into your sales pipeline and a fast speed, without having to create and dig through reports, but the results were hit or miss. The platform is much more simple, and perfect for a large corporation who would perhaps need to limit access to certain reports and files.
Nachteile
Using artificial intelligence to find the best opportunities to pursue may sound like a good idea, The results were hit or miss, with miss being the more likely of the two. This leaves little to no room to be strategic in finding the best leads to pursue at the right time. Certain common features seemed to be available but did not produce content- such as the “follow” option for opportunies/accounts to see when the stage or opportunity owner or anything else had changed, since there is no news feed to view this in.

Vorteile
Our SF instance is completely customized to our orgs needs, and correlates directly with our KPIs. I log in and use Salesforce daily, and would not see business running as smoothly without it. I’m easily able to track my activity, see where opportunities stand, get a birds eye view of accounts, create custom reports, keep my team updated, etc.
Nachteile
Truthfully I don’t have a bad thing to say.

User friendly and reliable.

I enjoy using Salesforce. It really helps me in my Customer Service daily activities. Speechs, right-on-time information, useful dashboards, it all makes Salesforce an useful tool.
Vorteile
What I like the most about Salesforce is that it really impacts on a daily basis. Let's say that you are looking to standardize the Customer Service information and procedures. The workflow this platform has really helps you to accomplish that goal.
Nachteile
Slow at first, kind of confusing, not that user-friendly but remember this cons are only at the beggining, once you get used to it, the cons are gone.

Feature Rich with Clunky, Dated Interface

I've been using SalesForce for 5+ years now and while feature full, it's confusing to navigate with far more clicks than necessary. The interface has not changed at all in all the years I've been using it which makes me feel like they really just don't care to make the system better.
Vorteile
You can add your own custom fields and organize them how you want.
Nachteile
Difficult to find the proper path from lead to opportunity to account. Contacts can be saved on accounts, but aren't automatically applied to opportunities forcing me several clicks to simply add a new person first to the account and then back to the opportunity to see the contact. Changes to your payment plan to reduce accounts are very difficult forcing you to request changes 3 months in advance for them to take effect. However, they have no problem increasing the plan same-day when we need to add new accounts.

Great CRM if you know how to use it

As a CRM salesforce allows us to track our pipeline and report it to management and the board. For me personally, as I work in marketing it allows me to see leads that we captured through our forms and where these leads come from. From there inbound leads can be assigned to sales managers.
If you are a small company that does not need too many features etc, one of the smaller vendors in the marketplace is recommendable too.
Vorteile
Salesforce is the go-to CRM and market leader for a reason: solid lead and pipeline management. I like the integration with outlook and the depth of reporting features.
Nachteile
It takes some time to learn how to use it. Also the settings around standard lead fields and different lead views are confusing to me.

Great CRM platform.

As a user Salesforce is relatively easy to pick up as a beginner making it a great tool for employee/customer management.
Vorteile
I really liked how this software can be tailored to the needs of different businesses, such as allowing users to view stats, email campaign response rates and allows users to create specific lists for their email and phone campaigns.
Nachteile
If not managed correctly the system can become filled with irrelevant data, meaning it requires strict auditing throughout the company which at times can be difficult to do.

Overall I think Salesforece is a great platform. It is the #1 CRM in the world for a reason. I love it's customizability, the app exchange, and the Salesforce Community. The app exchange is great for free (or sometimes paid) solutions to add to your Salesforce instance and its capabilities. The Salesfore community is great because you can pretty much find an answer to any question you may have.
Vorteile
Salesforce is a blank slate. But that's a good thing! It can be completely customizable to your unique business requirements. Aside from customization, Salesforce out-of-the-box has great standard fields and functionality to manage and track leads, contacts, opportunities and accounts.
Nachteile
Salesforce is almost too smart. There is so much you can do with it, and if not implemented correctly, you may run into some hiccups. For example, my company grew and continued to grow but we did not scale our Salesforce platform to meet our ever-changing needs. This left us with some issues that are now being smoothed out.

Good But Could Be Better

This program is extremely helpful for storing information, keeping track of clients, and using these tools to assist another co-worker if you are not familiar with a client's needs. It is also a great central access point with remote/field reps that may not have access to specific reports, files, data, etc.
Vorteile
The search feature is good, it pulls everything associated with what you are looking for.
Nachteile
Sometimes there are serious delays. The program will need to reset and what ever you just did does not save. The email link does not carry over the information from the email. It will log the email with the title but will not transfer the body of the email into Lightening. Not sure if this is specific to my job's version or not.
Certain aspects of the program convert back to the original Salesforce Classic look

Salesforce the best storage platform

Overall, as I mentioned this is one of the best pieces of software and I would suggest it to anyone in need of marketing, sales, or customer service. The price is questionable, but you can get over it!
Vorteile
Salesforce is one of the best software available today. It stores a lot of data and it's very safe to use so you don't have to worry about anything happening to your data! Also, it is cross-platform which means you can use it on your mobile, tablets, etc. Another thing I like about this software is that if you are a non-profit organization, Salesforce gives you the first ten licenses for free!
Nachteile
The price is the main aspect of Salesforce that I find objectionable. Because it is fairly expensive and every additional license that you get only drives up the price, you should probably consult a more knowledgeable person before making a purchase. Another thing that I dislike is that they often replace their management. Imagine getting to know your manager well and then having him unexpectedly replaced. It's awful.

Salesforce is Excellent for us however small businesses may struggle

Vorteile
Salesforce is one of the best known cloud based CRM that can be tailor-made to hasten sales, computerize the jobs and tasks, fetch real-time customer data, extract insights , manage leads and prospects, tracking commissions, estimate sales and enhance business efficiency by creating robust workflows.
Nachteile
It is quite expensive. We have a large sales team, diversified product and prospect base and had a fairly complex need so we spent out the money but it can be extremely unaffordable for small business and start ups. Moreover the customer care at Salesforce needs to be a little more polite and knowledgeable rather than rude and uninformed.

Make your own trasformer

Vorteile
the thing that i like the most is that you can edit almost ANYTHING! You can adjust the plataform for your particular needs.
You can track your customer the entire jorney and create different status.
It's a great sales plataform (duh! salesforce)
Nachteile
If you don't know a thing about code or interface or anything related with technology, it's going to be very hard for you at the moment of customize your Salesforce.
You will need the help of Salesforce to create all the things you will nedd for your business. If you don't customize, you will not be able to make the most of it.
It is not very helpful with marketing, so... you will have to make a pulgin with another plataform (for example mailchimp)

For nonprofits - powerful, but complicated

Even though it is free for nonprofits, you should expect in start-up costs, realistically. Take advantage of the free apps and extensions, as well as the robust support network, but be aware that you will have to learn the language and back end of salesforce to truly customize it. For that, it might be best to use a developer to start.
Vorteile
Salesforce is a very powerful CRM system that can handle almost anything and with hundreds of apps to add functionality, you can find pre-built solutions to most business processes. For nonprofits, the nonprofit success pack is a great starter kit and you can't beat the price - free for up to 10 users.
Nachteile
Because of the plethora of features, it can be hard to navigate and figure things out without help. I wouldn't recommend someone not comfortable with technology and CRMs to think they can set it up themselves with no assistance.

Never had a good day using this product

Vorteile
These products are used far and wide, I know, but I still did not have a good experience with any Salesforce products.
Nachteile
I am not one to complain much, but I literally never had a good day of using any Salesforce product. Every Salesforce product I have used has been a pain to deal with. As a marketer/communications person, I found each product to be cumbersome and not easy to use at all. I would have a headache every single day trying to figure out where and how the functionality worked. I spent many hours on the phone with customer service and felt like they definitely did not want to help me understand their product.

Was not used to it at first, now I would not go back.

great way to navigate information. Account/Opportunity views are so much easier to view and edit. This was definitely a step in the right direction with the platform.
Vorteile
Lightning view took Salesforce to a whole other Level. It is cleaner and sharper and over all a better easier way to navigate through the platform.
Nachteile
At first it was really hard to use because I was not used to it. I had been using the classic view for so long that this just didn't fit the way I worked. Once I was forced to use lighting and got used to it. I don't know why I was punishing myself using the other view

Expensive, but we have really benefited form it and feel like there is no other choice

Outstanding feature set and endless possibilities - but be ready to hire a SalesForce resource (Dev/Admin) to really make this thing hum, and they ain't cheap.
Vorteile
Wow-what can't it do? It's become our source record for all of our processes. Just know that there are many additional costs you'll want to consider to make this work.
Nachteile
First of all, they keep raising the prices on our user licenses. The product is so embedded in all that we do and are and with a lack of comparable products to move to, we feel like we are trapped and forced into paying the new prices every year. Feels like a little bit of a bait and switch to me.

Salesforce Platform Review

Easy to use and a great way to incorporate many processes into a single cloud-based platform with lots of automation. It's going to cost you, but if you can swing it you won't b sorry.
Vorteile
It's the leader in the clubhouse for CRM, but it can do so much more. We've used it to go completely paperless. Anything you can put down can be moved into the platform.
Nachteile
$$$. It's expensive - not saying it's not worth it, but you need to be doing a lot with it to justify the cost. Luckily we are.

Lightning takes Salesforce to the next level

I'm able to be so much more efficient with the switch to lightning. The tab functionality and the layout of the pages make it so much more user friendly.
Vorteile
While the initial switch from classic was a little rough from a users standpoint, now I couldn't go back to use classic. It is so much more intuitive and is a nice and sleek experience.
Nachteile
It was an adjustment during the initial switch from classic and it took a little while for the entire Sales team to feel comfortable in using lightning regularly.

We're solving customer care problems relating to their finances, there are many benefits keeping track of end number of customers having multiple options like storing data and keeping track of records
Vorteile
I like how we can keep tracks of tickets and number of leads on Salesforce to provide a prompt resolution. It is also used for storing data to review and we can interlink it with other apps to call and send message to the client
Nachteile
Sometimes the servers are down but other than that it's always up to the mark. Very satisfied with Salesforce as it's one of the most used CRM brand in India and a lot of major companies use it

Challenging

I'd prefer something smooth and easy to use. Salesforce is the best of all the mediocre tools available. Not saying much.
Vorteile
There's a ton of information available...it's everywhere. Your company can integrate its system with Salesforce pretty well. It's easy to do and the breadth of information available is excellent.
Nachteile
It's slow. Difficult to navigate. The user interface definitely needs an upgrade. The same set of information can be found multiple times and you have no idea what's right.

Generally good functionality

Vorteile
Once you are used to the Salesforce platform it is easy to navigate around and switch between screens.
Easy to set up custom objects and fields where required to enhance standard functionality.
Nachteile
Reporting is terrible. Data can be accessed but the output formats when manually running and scheduling reports is non-workable.
Restrictions in the ability to add products form multiple pricebooks to one order.
