There are two popular kinds of protection: legacy JS obfuscation (what Jscrambler is known for, not very useful these days) and VM obfuscation. Their legacy obfuscation is not much different than other free and open source packages, and does not offer much protection.

They have also attempted to offer modern VM obfuscation, but this is poorly tested and has terrible performance that makes it unusable in many applications. Unfortunately they don't let you try this before buying it.

- The resulting code it's non-sense and the performance doesn't drop that much
- You can trick the configuration in order to fit your necessities

- In the past there were a few bugs that cause some problems but the technical team fixed them fast
