Allocable is a time tracking and business intelligence (BI) platform built to serve a variety of professional services, that helps visualize the past, present and future health of a single project, or the entire organization. Users are able to forecast and optimize performance by turning information into actionable insights, and get a complete visualization of workforce and project productivity data. Automated time tracking and built-in approval workflows help users understand where the workforce is spending their time, while streamlining and standardizing the approval process. Time tracking features help users determine whether planning is accurate, and the differences between profit and loss. Business dashboards visually present summaries in order to gather the health of the business, and plan for growth and capacity using business intelligence data. Productivity and predictive analytics provide a multidimensional view of workforce and project, and production productivity data. Users are able to interpret disparate data across multiple systems and perform growth planning using Allocable’s visual KPI dashboard. The solution provides a suite of project planning and project management features that enable managers to view, add, and edit allocations for resources, view burndown reports in real time, see leverage for optimization, and tweak planning accuracy. Workforce management tools include a real-time business intelligence engine with resource management capabilities that allows users to receive personalized insights to integrate, organize, and analyze the health of the company, projects, and people. Allocable’s allocations scheduler provides a view of all resources within the organization and their capacity utilization over time. Changes the way I look at data
Project forecasting is now part of our weekly meetings and this is something that the software has automated for us. We can now see how we are leveraging employees for non-billable and billable hours and make actionable changes on our workforce as well as project estimates with more accuracy than ever before.

Vorteile
The most revealing thing about Allocable is learning where my time is going on projects. My company uses a monthly recurring system to bill clients, so it is important to know how much time we are allowing per client, per month. Now, I can log into Allocable and see where our time has been spent and if our project burndown rates are where we want them.
Nachteile
I understand Allocable is now building this, but I'd like to use a built-in time tracking tool rather than have to manually pull in time tracking data or connect it through an API like Harvest. The good news is that I spoke to the Allocable support team and they already told me they are working on this in an upcoming version.

The ability to compare data from various sources in a single tool saves me valuable time and provides insight into potential problem areas.

I would like the ability to build custom reports and schedule alerts when certain thresholds are exceeded.

Nachteile
Have its own time tracking tool will be an advantage. That being said, I would love to have a section design for Finance department that can be used for billing and finance analysis
