DocStar ECM ist eine cloudbasierte, On-Premise Enterprise-Content-Management-Lösung, die entwickelt wurde, damit Unternehmen Dokumente in einem zentralen Repository hochladen, ändern, teilen, archivieren und später darauf zugreifen können. Mit den anpassbaren Workflows von DocStar ECM können Fachkräfte benutzerdefinierte Regeln erstellen, um Inhalte nicht nur zu verarbeiten, sondern auch an Teammitglieder zur Genehmigung weiterzuleiten, und über das Dashboard Echtzeitwarnungen zum Dokumentenstatus und Fortschritt zu empfangen. Die Lösung bietet zahlreiche Funktionen wie Dokumentenscan, Drag-and-drop-Schnittstelle, Audit-Trails, sichere Bearbeitung, Boolesche Suche, automatisches Vernichten und vieles mehr. Darüber hinaus organisiert die integrierte automatische Indizierungsfunktionalität die Dokumente mithilfe von Barcodes, Mustern für regulären Ausdruck, Formatierung und anderen Funktionen.
DocStar ECM enthält benutzerdefinierte elektronische Formulare, mit denen Teams personalisierte Formulare mit der Möglichkeit für digitale Signaturen entwerfen können, um Informationen zu erfassen, zu verifizieren und zu genehmigen. Die Plattform unterstützt auch die Einbindung verschiedener ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) und Buchhaltungssoftware von Drittanbietern sowie CRM-Systeme wie Microsoft, Sage, Epicor, Oracle, SAP und Infor.

We have had nothing but EXCELLENT results and service with DocStar. We have realized a positive ROI by automating our payables processes - much lower time to process invoices PLUS we have avoided thousands of dollars in late fees. Most importantly, DocStar's customer service has been TOP NOTCH...although to be fair, we hardly ever have to call them since the solution is so stable. I would HIGHLY recommend DocStar to any company looking to automate their AP process...you will not be disappointed!!

We use to manage our AP processing, HR Documents, proposal review process and as an electronic archive for all of our internal documents as well as all customer related transnational documents.
Vorteile
The Docstar software makes it easy to get my hands on any historical document related to any of our customers very quickly. And, we use the workflow feature to initiate quote and proposal reviews as well as sending the proposals electronically to customers for their e-signature and receiving them back into the system automatically after signature.
Nachteile
We have no issues with the software and everyone inside our firm uses it on a daily basis.

I hate everything about DocStar

Customer service is worthless, upgrading from the previous version to this one took twice as long...
Customer service is worthless, upgrading from the previous version to this one took twice as long as quoted, everything about this program is cumbersome and harder than it should be. I wholeheartedly regret this purchase.
Vorteile
There is nothing I like about this software. My data is held hostage and I'm stuck with it.
Nachteile
We're basically locked into this program. It's clunky and not user friendly and we'd love to change programs. But, once your data is stored in DocStar, it costs tens of thousands of dollars to pull your data back out in a format that can be migrated to another program.

We had a rocky start, but through deep discussions and strong support from ECM, we are successfully using ECM and enjoying a great process with automating our AP.
Vorteile
Our use for this software is to streamline our invoicing process. Receiving the invoices via email, the PDF is captured by IDC, verifies data, then sends to ECM. I find not handling paper a great convenience. Previously, we would receive the email, print the document, open the invoice processing, and proceed with AP.
The ECM process is quite smooth and has helped bring us further into the digital age.
Nachteile
We would like to have an option to capture tracking numbers from invoices (if applicable) and populate P21.

Vorteile
1) The searchability by entered metadata and OCR text.
2) Customizable workflow and content types
3) Emailing a document to a non-Docstar ECM user
4) Uploading direct from O365 applications
Nachteile
1) Not being able to choose the file type when scanning such as .jpeg, .png, and .tiff...our state mandates certain records cannot be stored as .pdf...having to upload a document as a .tiff from a different scanner and then uploading into Docstar is time consuming when we have dozens of documents at a time
