LibreOffice ist eine cloudbasierte und On-Premise-Suite von Anwendungen, die Unternehmen, Wohltätigkeitsorganisationen und staatliche Organisationen dabei unterstützt, Dokumente, Tabellenkalkulationen, Präsentationen, Grafiken, Zeichnungen, mathematische Formeln und mehr zu erstellen, zu bearbeiten und zu verwalten. Mit dem Autokorrekturwörterbuch können Nutzer Tipp- oder Rechtschreibfehler in mehreren Sprachen auf einer zentralen Plattform identifizieren.
Data Miner können die integrierten Assistenten, das Vorlagenrepository und die Formatierungsfunktionen von LibreOffice verwenden, um Inhalte in Tabellenkalkulationen, einschließlich Hintergründe, Rahmen und andere Elementen, in Zusammenarbeit mit mehreren Nutzern zu erstellen und anzupassen. Man kann auch Dokumente im ODS-, Microsoft-Excel- oder PDF-Format speichern oder exportieren. Die Impress-Plattform hilft Unternehmen dabei, Inhalte, Notizen oder Folien zu bearbeiten, zu organisieren, zu skizzieren und anzuzeigen sowie Animationen und Effekte zu Präsentationen hinzuzufügen. Mit dem Font-Works-Tool lassen sich 2D- oder 3D-Bilder aus Text erstellen. Mit der Software können Führungskräfte auch Grafiken, Diagramme, technische Zeichnungen, Poster, Flussdiagramme, Fotoalben und Broschüren erstellen oder entwerfen.
LibreOffice unterstützt verschiedene Dateiformate wie DOC, XLS, XLSX, PPT, PPTX, ODF, PDF und weitere. Vorgesetzte können u. a. Kreis-, 2D-, 3D- und Säulendiagramme in Dokumente, Tabellenkalkulationen, Präsentationen oder Zeichnungen nach ihren individuellen Anforderungen einbetten.

Great tool that i like to use every day, very fast and lightweight compared to Microsoft office or other office productivity tools.

After OpenOffice got acquired by Oracle, the source code was forked under the name LibreOffice which turned to be a better more reliable project, independent from any for profit companies that may end up
sabotaging the development of this great productivity suite tools that are great alternative to Microsoft Office.

Macro function is not that reliable yet, and although LibreOffice is open source it seems the development of the project is very slow, very little functions or UI changes are added after every release.

LibreOffice is a perfect alternative for other Office suites. It's opensource, it handles multiplatform collaboration very well, and it's a breeze to switch from any other office suite.
Vorteile
LibreOffice is unbelievably easy to hop in for a newcomer - no matter what you've been using previously. Because most of us, its users, are probably "switchers", either from MS Office or OpenOffice, LibreOffice not only makes up for the software we've been using before - it also does a lot more, and does it in very intuitive, effective manner.
Nachteile
I hate the fact that I've hesitated so long to actually try LibreOffice. But after installing it and giving it a chance to shine - it was love from the first sight.

LibreOffice can be good for a quick editing of documents, which aren’t demanding or complex. A simple text document can be easily formatted and edited with no issues. But for professional work, like a modern presentation or a beautifully crafted chart, LibreOffice cannot do this flawlessly. These unexpected errors are horrible and should be fixed as soon as possible, because nobody wants files to be lost for no reason. I ended up switching to the free Microsoft office web package, which I use occasionally. I couldn’t stand reinstalling the whole LibreOffice package every now and then and being constantly asked to donate.
Vorteile
Whether presentations or charts, tables or documents, LibreOffice makes all of this possible completely free of charge. All the most important features, like creating presentations or excel tables/calculation, a person needs for document management can be found, implemented and exported in this program. Another great thing is that it’s open and free and multilingual, so anyone can use it.
Nachteile
Although being a free alternative to Microsoft Office, it still has a lot of issues. The general layout of LibreOffice is a bit outdated and slow. It happened a lot during my days of using LibreOffice writer that the program experienced an „unexpected error“ and my files sometimes even got lost, which made me very angry. But we should keep in mind that LibreOffice doesn’t charge a penny for their products. Another bad thing is that there’s no automatic updating yet. So you have to manually reinstall the whole package, if there are new updates, which made me frustrated.

Vorteile
I think the most useful thing I like about LibreOffice is the portability of the entire platform, easy to download, easy to install in any OS, and easy to execute and start working.
Nachteile
I think they have a slow updating team, the official product releases a lot of new functions and features, but LibreOffice could improve a lot in this department.

I solve an essential task in my work, the calculations. I use LibreOffice spreadsheets to create quotation documents, as well as budgets. Also, we benefit from the fact that it is a free software for which you do not have to pay any license.
Vorteile
LibreOffice is easy to use and allows me to make any calculation easily. This software is essential to manage sales or purchases in my organization, since I can keep all the data sorted. On the other hand, it is free software, so you save a lot of money that costs a license of a spreadsheet software. Also, I also like that it has Excel support, so I can open the same documents in both programs without the documents changing their structures.
Nachteile
I cannot criticize software that gives me totally free features and that are fundamental to my daily work.
