Although it is a bit heavy and not that easy to deploy, students can get a lot of advantages learning a highly demanded DBMS platform that really adds a lot on their resume. The SQL concepts are easily tested against the database using the SQL Developer software. Moreover, JDBC drivers allow seamless integrations and very high performance when using Java to connect to the database on the client side, or when relying on the Java Servlets and Java Server Pages middleware on the Application server.
